The smile wasn't welcomed, figured the 19 year old boy. Maybe he wasn't that good looking, he thought, or maybe the other boy was just in a trance that he had broken with a beam.Either way, his heart had shattered with the sound of the window being pulled shut.
He wasn't going to stop today, he decided.
It was 7 o'clock again, and he was passing the same spot, the closest one and direct opposite to the window.
He tried.
He tried hard to continue running.But he had to stop when he saw the window opening out of the corner of his eye. He looked, ever so tentatively towards it's direction.
And this time, the beam was coming from the other side.
