The first days at college while being together were just a little different.

Jeongguk was nervous about PDA over there, he hated seeing others overdo it on public spaces and even if they were definitely not going to overdo it, something still seemed to lock the younger from doing anything.

It was different from the movies or even Jimin's place. It was different from being alone in Taehyung's car after class and different from being at a restaurant when they were having lunch.

That was college, Jeongguk knew those people, he would keep seeing them every day for a long time and he couldn't tell if they were somewhat invested in gossiping about them or not.

When he was in school he would hear everybody gossiping about everybody, so maybe in this case he was just afraid people would start gossiping about them. The last thing he wanted was to become the center of the gossiping around college.

He was also really afraid of their reaction.

Would they try to talk to them? Jeongguk doesn't talk to anyone else in their class, but Taehyung is a very social person, and even if he's not friends with the rest, he does occasionally talks to them.

Would they ask Taehyung if they were together? Would they start talking about it? What would happen if they knew?

They younger couldn't stop thinking about this. It was annoying him how he couldn't just act like Taehyung's boyfriend over there and not care about what was going to happen.

He knew none of his classmates were homophobic, at least from what they would show, because there were openly gays, lesbians, and trans on his class and they never suffered any kind of prejudice from anyone.

But he was still really worried of how they would react if they discovered he was in a relationship with Taehyung.

He felt hyperaware of everything they would do to each other. So that meant the only things they would do in class was sit a little bit closer, arms and thighs touching slightly.

When they were walking around campus they would walk closer and let their hands brush, but they would never hold hands.

Taehyung would only reach for Jeongguk's hand once they were inside his car. And kissing was out of the picture until they were far away from the college.

It was stupid, Jeongguk felt stupid doing this but he couldn't help himself and he was eternally grateful for Taehyung never once questioning anything.

The older was respectful and understanding to the core and Jeongguk was just falling harder for him every day that passed.

After spending Monday to Thursday acting like that, Jeongguk was growing annoyed at himself.

He would spend an embarrassing amount of time during class just straight up staring at his boyfriends hands because he was itching to hold it. He missed some great part of the content of his classes because of that and honestly this was just getting ridiculous.

Taehyung wouldn't address to any of this. The older seemed to get that the younger was having some sort of battle against himself and that he needed some time to figure himself out.

Therefore all that the older would do was explain to his boyfriend what he had missed on class while he was spacing out.

On that Thursday's afternoon both boys got to Taehyung's loft for their usual tutoring session a bit earlier than usual, due to the fact that the younger couldn't stand stay on the campus any longer because his mind wouldn't stop overthinking everything.
