The Augur

Percy's POV:

As Jason and Marcus led us through the tunnel I couldn't help but sigh in slight frustration.

"Something wrong Dante?" Jason asked and I narrowed my eyes at him

"No nothing is wrong, but please forgive my rudeness when I say I don't trust Thunder spawns" I say and Jason nods

"I do not expect you to trust me or respect me for who my father is, I would rather earn your trust and respect the old-fashioned way, so I do not mind though I would appreciate it if you didn't insult me" Jason said and I nodded but smirked, making sure to throw a heavy layer of mist over my canines

"Very well said Jason, you seem to want to make a name for yourself rather than build off of one your father gave you" I said wisely and Jason looked back at me

"Yeah I guess" He said awkwardly as we reached the end of the tunnel and before us spread an expanse of beautiful terrain and I let out a low whistle

"Nice place you got here" Hylla said as we walked to a large city that looked almost like Rome

The image brought a scowl to my face. That is until Spring nuzzled my leg and I looked at her to see her staring at me with her two different colored eyes and I smiled.

"Thanks Spring" I said as we walked over a river

"You three will need to head to the augur to receive admission into the legion, once you do, there will be a test you have to pass in order to be admitted into a cohort" Marcus said and I nodded

"Head to Jupiter's temple, meet the Augur, produce letters of whatever they are called, beat the shit out of your opponents in the test, become a badass, got it" I commented lazily and everyone looked at me with raised eyebrows "What?"

"How do you know where the Augur is?" Jason asked and I pointed to a group of buildings that had a thunderstorm over it "Ahh"

Jason and Marcus led us to the large temple and I rolled my eyes at the grandness to it.

"Normally, we are supposed to bring you to our praetors but recently they have been extremely busy and asked that all patrol bring new demigods to the temple of Jupiter for the Augur to take care of" Jason said and Reyna nodded while I sighed

"There they are, Bruce and Octavian" Marcus said and when the names were said the two turned around and spotted us

"New recruits?" the taller kid said which I assumed he must be Bruce

"Yeah, Reyna, Hylla, and Dante" Jason said and I gave a small wave as I noticed carvings on the ground

"Prophecies" Bruce explained simply and I rolled my eyes already knowing what they were as my father was the great grandfather of the god of the Oracle

"What's that one say?" Reyna asked and I turned to see an old faded carving

"Lone wolf of long forgotten friend
Howls alone with no end
Lonely hunts every night
Stalking his prey while out of sight
Seek the wolf that knows no love
And show him the way of the Dove
Fur or hair that holds purest snow
Warms the heart of a cold Shadow
Fear not the wolves of night
But those who harm all in sight" Bruce recited perfectly and I felt a weight appear on my shoulders but it soon disappeared as I shook my head to clear it

"Interesting" Hylla said as she glanced at Reyna and I chuckled

"Prophecies are not to be taken personally unless they are issued to you" I said and Bruce nodded
