Part 9 - Why does it hurt?

I managed to open my eyes the smallest amount, but everything looked so blurry, I felt so weak as I forced them open.

I was in a hospital room, I looked to my side and saw Jungkook fast asleep, my hand in his.

I slowly pushed myself to get up trying hard not to wake him, but failed. He slowly opened his eyes and quickly looked up

Jungkook:

y/n! your awake...

you:

yeah...

I tried to lessen the awkward silence a bit but everything was so weird

You:

So... what happened?

Jungkook:

Well remember when you got bad pains?

I slowly nodded, and quickly panicked

You:

Is the baby ok?

Jungkook smiled

Jungkook:

Baby's perfectly fine

I felt relief come over me as Jungkook continued

Jungkook:

The doctors did scans and they said that everything seemed fine, they don't know why it happened... but they gave you pain killers and put you to sleep.

You:

... they don't know why it happened?

Jungkook took my hand into both of his hands

Jungkook:

They said everything seemed fine... that's all that matters

I gripped on his hand tightly, I wanted him here always... with us

Once I was discharged, Jungkook drove us home and held my arm softly before I could run to my room.

Jungkook:

I think we need to talk

I let him slowly pull me towards him

Jungkook:

About what happened at the clinic... I'm sorry

I suddenly felt my heart beat faster, sorry about what?

Jungkook:

I'm sorry for shouting at you, to be honest I'm sorry about a lot of things...

I just looked at him, not knowing what to say

Jungkook:

But everything I said at the clinic... was true

You:

e-everything?

Jungkook slowly nodded as he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer.

Jungkook:

I-I've never really felt this way about... anyone before

He whispered as he leaned his forehead onto mine, I tried to say something but I couldn't, I couldn't even describe what I was feeling.

Jungkook:

And I know I hurt you so many times... I can never forgive myself for that but I promise I'll change for you and for our baby.

Jungkook tightened his hold around me
