S3 E2 - Why Don't You See Me?

I've been in the Armoury for the last half hour or so sharpening and cleaning my knives. I like it down here - it's peaceful...or at least it was.

"You know Captain, it's rude to stare." I say, my eyes remaining fixed on the knife in my hand.

"How did you know I was here?" He questions and I shrug.

"Saw your reflection in my knife. Simple enough." I turn to look at him. "You could've spoken but instead you continued to stand there like a creepy stalker." I stand up. "It's weird." He smirks. "Anyway, what do you want?" I ask, placing my weapons in my tactical belt.

"Your Dad wants to see you."

"Well that's a first. You know, since Dr Page joined us Dad's spent the entire time hidden away in that room up there. It's like I don't exist anymore."

"He wants to see you now, doesn't he?" I shrug. "Elizabeth, I barely know anything about you or Cutter - but I do know that you shouldn't be shutting each other out. You all went through hell and I'm here to make sure that doesn't happen again. He wants you up there, the least you can do is be there." Reluctantly I nod before following him up.

"...then we can start to predict where and when new anomalies might start to open." I hear Dad say as we near the room.

"Call me stupid, but couldn't we have done all this on a computer?" Lester questions.

"This way it's more tangible." Dad responds.

"It makes him feel more like God." I say as we enter but Dad barely acknowledges my presence. I try to shrug it off but my thoughts spiral. I take a deep breath and zone back in on Dad talking again.

"...unless I'm very much mistaken I think we may have made our first prediction." He points to a part of his matrix. "Alright, listen up. We've analysed the most recent anomalies and put them into the model. The prediction is specific and local, but there's a problem. It could happen tomorrow or many years from now." He points to Jenny and I. "You two check it out, and take Sid and Nancy with you." Jenny and I nod while Connor and Abby stand there confused.

"I'll go, too." Sarah offers.

"No, I need you here."

"I should handle this." Becker interjects and I try to hide a smirk.

"No, we'll go." Jenny confirms.

"Anything happens, call me." Dad tells Jenny before beginning to walk away.

"Wait, Dad!" He doesn't stop and I grab his arm, forcing him to turn. "Why won't you talk to me?" I question and he's silent for a few minutes, almost contemplating.

"We have a job to do." Is all he says before walking away once more. I feel a hand on my shoulder and see it's Sarah.

"He'll come round." She tells me sweetly and I give her a small smile.

"We'll see." I say before running off to catch up with the others.

"This is the place." I say as we exit the car.

"So this is where Cutter predicts the anomaly will open?" Jenny questions in my direction and I shrug.

"I guess...I mean it's not like he's talked to me about any of it." I respond and Jenny pauses for a moment, thinking, but I continue before she can speak. "We'd better check it out."

"Then what? We sit twiddling our thumbs till an anomaly appears?"

I want to snap. I'm fed up of questions I can't answer. I don't know what's going on in my Dad's head and the sooner the others realise that the better. Sensing my frustration Connor speaks up.
