Growing up, while watching Thomas, I've always wanted to imagine myself as British steam engine like the other engines and working on the Island of Sodor. And write my own stories like the actual series. Preferably, I'd imagine my self as a medium tender engine, like Edward, James, Donald or Douglas.
Recently, I bought a Thomas the Tank Engine: The Complete Collection book on eBay, and it had all twenty-six stories written by Rev. W Awdry. After reading all 26 stories, it inspired me to write my own custom RWS story. I am quite fond of classic Thomas and the railway series, rather than the CGI.
My engine I chose a LNER Y-14 0-6-0. Originally, I was going to choose a CR 812 0-6-0 (Donald/Douglas' class), since the Scottish Twins are my favorite Thomas characters. But, I felt I needed to use a non-canon engine. So I chose the LNER Y14.
