Magnus pov

I slumped back down on the bed. Alex pounced from under the covers and grabbed me by my neck from behind. "Good luck escaping my iron grip." She whispered in my ear. I strained and struggled but she held me down. Eventually I lost my grip and fell face first into her chest. "Gotcha Cinnamon Sunshine!" She hissed.

"Whatever Lime Breath." I muttered. She huffed and pulled me out of her chest. "You know I'm kidding. I love the way you smell of limes. Even in the morning." I assured her. She got a satisfied glint in her eyes. Her two toned eyes seemed so gentle and caring but I'd seen them before battle.

One time during battle, she was walking in a forest hiding from enemies, when I jumped out and kissed her. She had yelped and threw me into a tree. I groaned and slid down the trunk. She held her garrote on my throat, her eyes danced maniacally, like a caged tiger finally freed from a cage. Then she noticed it was me and her eyes turned soft and warm.

She had leaned down and kissed me.

I snapped out of my little flashback to Alex snapping her fingers in my face. "Hey wake up! Valhalla to Magnus!"

I nodded. "Yea I'm up." She cuddled into my chest a bit deeper.

"Good," she poked me in the chest, "because its battle time. Also yes its Thursday!"

"Nooo!!!" I cursed in old Norse.

"Yep."

°•°TIME SKIP TO BATTLE°•°

Battles in Valhalla can get pretty insane. Remember when I said 'Vikings are huge Abba fans'? Well they're way bigger fans of Manowar. As we charged I caught snippets of sings like 'Sons of Odin' and 'Sleipnier'

"CARRY WE WHO DIE IN BATTLE OVER LAND AND SEA! ACROSS THE RAINBOW BRIDGE TO VALHALLA! ODIN'S WAITING FOR ME!" Yelled Half-born Gunderson our only actual viking. He charged into battle. We shrugged and followed.

My sword stayed up on my side along with my shield. Eventually, our group had formed a circle around each other, everyone's shoulders were touching. Well they would've been if I was tall enough for my shoulders to reach Half-born's shoulders.

Soon, a guy got smart and brought a group of about thirty over. He sent enough to be a problem our way, about fifteen, and the others circled behind. Josh was first to notice. "ITS A TRAP!" He yelled frantically. We looked over and saw the others. Too late.

They charged us. "DEATH AND GLORY!" Half-born yelled. We charged back at the enemies. The first swung his axe at Mallory. She managed to block it by crossing her daggers at the axes blade. With one squeeze, the blade fell off, the mans head hot on its trail. Three teamed up on Josh and Nemexa. Jessica and Ray fought arm in arm, like twin demons. The rest took over Half-born duty. I thought.

I scream shook me from my blade swinging death tornado, as I looked for the source of the scream I saw Alex, a sword in her gut. "NO!" I yelled. I knew it wasn't bad but I was still alarmed. I felt angry pressure build in my chest. I ran to Alex and healed her wounds.

The anger in my chest boiled like a teapot about to whistle. I growled and everyone, even Half-born, took a nervous step back. "YYYAAAAAGGGHHHH!" The anger exploded, a shock wave went flying outwards. Not the peace of Frey. This was angrier. Deadlier. The red light shot in all directions like a shock wave from a bomb.

Then I blacked out.

When I woke up I was in bed, all my hallmates standing over me nervously. "What happened? That wasn't peace if Frey." I stated.

Half-born chuckled, "No indeed my friend," he flicked to edge of his axe blade,"I'll tell what it was."

"Tell us!" We all said.

"It was....AWESOME!" Half-born said.
