CHAPTER-8

Ansh opened his eyes and looked at the two who were now shivering under his cold gaze. "Where were you two?" Both were so frightened that no words came out of their mouth. Out of fear both lowered her heads. "I asked you both a question. Where were you two?" Ansh asked once again stressing each word. Whenhe still got no answers he walked up to them. "I am asking you two a question. Avni? Sakshi? Will anybody answer me?" He shouted the last part. Both flinched hearing him shout.

"An..An.Ansh Ji, we....we... went shopping." Avni shuttered while replying. This was the first time she was seeing an angry Ansh. And she was not going to deny that she was scared. "leaving Grandma alone? How can you both do that? You both knew she has low bp but still, you left her alone? Do you know what happened? She fainted. Thank god I reached home on time. The maids had already called the doctor by the time I came." Both were shocked hearing that she had fainted. "Bh...bahiya.." Ansh was so angry he ignored whatever Sakhi wanted to say and in turn questioned her. "Why are you both so late? Why was I not informed of your shopping trip? Where was your phone? If you have phone why didn't pick it up?" Ansh voice was still cold. "Bh...bhaiya it..it..was on si..silent." Sakshi shuttered. "Wow just wow. I seriously have no words for you." He then turned towards Avni. "Where is your phone Avni? Oh wait, why am I even asking? Its here on the table." Ansh went to the table and picked up Avni's phone. "Why didn't take your phone with you?" Avni couldn't say a word. "Why?" Ansh once again shouted. "I forgot." Hearing that Ansh got even angrier. "I am disappointed in you Avni." Avni broke into tears hearing Ansh's words.

"I shouldn't say anything anymore otherwise I may lose control and say something I don't mean. Sakshi go to your room. And Avni go check on grandma. Just because I am not saying anything more doesn't mean I am not angry. And I hope both would realize that you are wrong and reflect on it." Ansh said and went from there. He was angry. He never knew both would act so carelessly, specially Avni. He Had never expected that from her. He always believed that Avni was responsible but today's incident made him doubt it.

As soon as Ansh left, Sakshi hugged Avni and kept on saying sorry. She knew it was her fault. She should have informed her brother and more importantly shouldn't have kept her phone in silent mode. It's her fault and now Avni was suffering because of it. "Avni please don't cry. It's my fault. It's all my fault. I should go and talk to bhaiya." Avni broked the hug and wiped her tears. "No Sakshi don't. I will talk to him. You don't. You go to your room and I will go and check on grandma." Sakshi just nodded her head and went away. She might have agreed in front of Avni but she was not going to sit quietly and see her best friend suffer.

Sakshi went to Avni and Ansh's room and knocked on the door. On hearing a response from another side, she entered the room and found her brother working on the laptop. "Bhaiya.." Ansh even after hearing Sakshi calling him, didn't lift up his head. "Bhaiya it was my fault. Avni..." "Sakhi don't... I don't want to hear anything. Please leave." "But bhaiya..." Ansh looked up from the laptop and anger was evident in his eyes. " I said Sakshi leave... I am not in the mood to listen.. we might talk tomorrow... but just leave now." Hearing Ansh voice, Sakshi knew it is best to leave for now but she was going to talk to him tomorrow

Avni went to check on grandma. Ganga was resting when Avni entered the room. "Grandma are you fine? How are you feeling?" Ganga tried to get up on seeing Avni but she stopped her. "No. no grandma you shouldn't get up." "I am fine Avni. Don't worry I am fine." "I am sorry grandma, we shouldn't have left you alone at home." "No, no Avni it's okay. I am fine. Just bp dropped. Other than that I am fine child." "But grandma you fainted." "I am fine now child. I am fine." Avni then gave grandma her dinner and medicines. She made sure grandma didn't need anything and was sleeping before she went out of the room.

Avni went to the room and found Ansh working on a laptop. She stood in front of the bed trying to gain the courage to talk to him. "Ansh ji." She called him but got no response. "Ansh ji.." Once again she got no response. Now her eyes were once again filled with tears. "Ansh ji please..." Ansh suddenly looked up. "What do you want to say Avni? What?" Ansh asked and walked up to her. "I am sorry Ansh ji.. I am sorry.. please forgive me..." "Avni, I am more disappointed than angry. I know Sakshi is careless. But I never thought even once that you would act so carelessly. How can you leave grandma alone? Moreover, you didn't even inform me that you two have decided to go out. I know Sakshi would never inform me because she knows I would have said no. But why you didn't?" Avni couldn't only cry after hearing Ansh's words. Seeing Avni cry Ansh was also feeling bad. But then he was also hurt. "You know what Avni today I had come home early so that I could spend time with you all as especially you. But all I got when I came home was the news that grandma has fainted and you two were not at home and were unreachable. Today I was happy. I got the project. I wanted to celebrate it. But then I got shocked when I came home. I am not going to talk about it anymore. I am going." Ansh went out of the room. Avni fell on her knees and cried. She had disappointed him and she hated it the most.
