"Cassidy, there's nothing you can do. Go, get out of here." Logan said. Cassidy felt his heart starting to slow down and his skin began to go cold. "Damnit. I'm not giving up on you, Logan. Please, you can't die." Cassidy said as she began to sob. Logan grabbed Cassidy's wrist and gently squeezed it. "This is my fate, Cassie." Logan said. "No! Please, Logan. I've already lost Shaun, I can't lose you too."
"This is the end."
"Logan, please! Don't go, don't die. I need you!" Cassidy looked down and saw the blood from Logan's hand was now on her wrist. "Please, Logan. We can help you."
"I....I need you to promise me something, Cassie."
"What?"
"You'll move on. You'll keep fighting no matter what, you'll look after Laura and the others. And you'll stay strong for me, for us."
"Logan, you can't die! I won't let you, please. Don't give up on yourself!"
"Promise me." Cassidy could barely look into Logan's eyes as she saw all the cuts, and bruises. Cassidy's eyes were filled with tears as she realized that Logan was actually going to die. "I promise." She said, sobbing. Logan cracked a little smile as he gave Cassidy a kiss on her lips. "So, this is what it's like to feel." Logan said, laughing a little. "I love you." Logan muttered to Cassidy. Cassidy tried wiping her tears away but it was impossible. "I love you too, baby." Cassidy said. "From here on out, the fight will be your.....Own." He said. Logan took his last breath and with that, his heart stopped beating and his skin went cold. It was over. Logan was dead. His hand gently slid off of Cassidy's wrist and gently landed on the ground. Cassidy was in tears. She buried her head into Logan's chest and held his hand tight. "Damien, do you have a defibrillator?!" She asked. "Yeah, but..."
"Use it!" She ordered. Ezekiel tried pulling her off of Logan's dead body. "Cassie, we can't save him." Said Ezekiel, trying to restrain her. "No, there's still time, I know it! Get that defibrillator, Damien!"
"Cassidy, his healing ability is gone!" Damien shouted. Cassidy stopped squirming. "What? What do you mean it's gone!" Damien and Ezekiel looked at each other and sighed. "Logan had me and Damien work on something while he was out here. His healing ability would never go away no matter his age. He didn't want to live for eternity so me and Damien created a serum that would deteriorate his healing cells so that he would be like everyone else: a mortal man. He knew that he would die in this fight, that's why he didn't want Laura getting involved. I'm sorry, but there's no way on bringing Logan back. He's gone." Ezekiel explained to Cassidy. Cassidy was speechless. She knew Logan was keeping something from her but she didn't it had something to do with his ability to heal. "There's only once last thing to do." Said Damien. Ezekiel and Damien picked up Logan's body and carried it to the car. Damien pressed a button on his remote control and a jet appeared from the clouds and landed on top of Damien's car. "Put his body in the back." Ezekiel walked over and placed Logan's dead body on a stretcher in the back of the jet. Cassidy carried Laura, who was still unconscious, into the jet. Damien climbed in the cockpit and his car automatically attached itself to the bottom of the jet. The jet took off away from the sight. On the way back, Laura sat up and looked and saw Logan's dead body strapped down to a stretcher. "I'm sorry, Laura." Said Ezekiel. Laura sat up and began crying her eyes out. A few hours later, they reached the state of Ohio. They landed right in front on an old, two story, brick house. They all got out and examined the area. "What is this place?" Asked Cassidy. "This is Logan's father lived. Mayfield heights. This is where it all began and this is where it'll end." Damien walked over to the main steps in front of the house. There was a D-pad on the door to the house. He entered the code to the D-pad. At the bottom of the steps, a secret passageway opened leading to a lower section under the house. Damien and Cassidy carried Logan's body down the steps in a large room. "This is where Logan wanted to be buried. Right under his fathers house." Damien said. They placed Logan's body on the table in the center of the room. "If you have any final words you would like to say to him, now would be the time. I'll wait outside." Damien said, walking back up the stairs. Cassidy placed her hand on Logan's heart. "If you can hear I just want you to know that I love you and I'm so sorry for all pain you've been through. I know life must've sucked having those painful memories of the past lingering behind you daily. I wasn't strong enough to save you, Logan. But i promise, i promise with every ounce of blood in my body that I will keep fighting till the very end. I promise that I'll look after Laura and raise her to the best of my abilities. I promise that no matter what happens, I will never stop fighting this battle. I'll see you on the other side." Cassidy kissed Logan's cold forehead and walked towards the stairs. She turned around one last time. "Forever and always, my love." She said. She walked back up the stairs to see Ezekiel, Laura, and Damien all standing on the lawn. Ezekiel lit a match walked towards the stairs.
