"Thank God no work"I smile while getting something to drink. I pour my Apple juice in the cup. I settle my cup on the counter and put my Apple juice in the fridge.
The day was getting colder and colder. They said it will be 27°. I'm like damn cause I was gone go outside today and check out New York like my sister said. But not today. I'ma sit on the couch and have me a nice hot coco.
I sat down on the couch watching the Polar Express that I recorded. I love the Polar Express. Thanksgiving pass by so Christmas is coming around. I'm excited cause I get to go back to California and see the fam. My dad will be so happy to see me. But my mom won't. I can tell she won't.
"That kid"I chuckle while finishing my drink. Just then the doorbell rung. I sigh looking at the time. It's 11:26 AM. "Who knocking on my door?"
I open the door seeing the dude that live next to me. Dave. "Hey"he said smiling.
"Why are you knocking at my door and why are you at my doorstep?"I ask.
"Why you acting like that?"he ask.
"Cause I can, I don't know you like that"I said.
"So what"he shrugged his shoulder. "So uhhhh"
"Now you want to make small talk"i said. "Listen sir. You need to take a step off my lawn before I call the police"
"Lawn, sweetheart this isn't Cali. This is east side Harlem"he said. "Better drop your tone with me"
"And who are you? My father"I said putting my hand on my hip.
"Nah, my dudes told me about you"he shook his head. "You mean as shit bruh"
"I-Im not mean"I stutter. I don't want people around here to think that.

"Aye, want to check out New York with me?"he ask.
