"MOMMY, DADDY!!" I hugged the both of them. They was so happy seeing me that they actually cook a lot of food for me.
"We miss you so much baby girl"my beautiful mother said. "How is the New York life?"
"It's good. Great actually"I smile while walking into the big living room. My mom is a lawyer and a professor at UCLA. Where I use to go too. My dad is book writer and painter. He loves art and speaks about artist like they are NBA or NFL players.
"Haven't met a boy yet I see"my father said.
"A boy, dad I met a man. Not a lil boy"i said then flop on the couch. "Where is Kaitlyn? Haven't seen her since last night"
"She went to the store to get me something to cook"my mom said.
"Didn't you cooked already?"I ask.
"Oh, this is for tomorrow"my dad said. "Your mom co-worker pass away and her wife...."
"Her wife?"I widen my eyebrows.
"She was gay. But she don't have no kind of taste for food so we ask can we cook the food and she said yeah"
"That's good. Cause y'all food is so tastefully"I smile. I got up from the couch and walk to the kitchen. I grab a pear and knife. "Mom, I'm inviting this man over today"
"A man, from where?"
"He coming from New York. I really love him and I'm thinking about keeping him"I smile.
"So your in love"she smile. "I'm proud of you"she hugged me and kiss my cheek.

I watch as my family smile and laugh with each other. This is what I miss. I want this in New York. A family. But Dave always gone and he always lock me up.
