Neria strolled calmly through the busy docks of  Tailnades, smiling at a bunch of children chasing eachother in the warm sun. It had taken her all of three hours to fly here, which wasn’t too bad considering that had she taken a coach it would’ve been eight. Needless to say her wings were tired when she shrunk them down enough to be hidden in the corset of her indigo dress, which she’d changed into after landing, but it was worth getting some fresh air. She tried to stifle her reddening cheeks as she thought of the prince, his radiating smile and ridiculous laugh echoing in her mind. She cared  for Mark more than she was proud to admit for she knew it could never be between them, not with who she was, not so long as she was a hybrid.

“Penny for your thoughts, commander?” Neria flinched slightly as she felt a thin arm wrap itself around her shoulder. She was ready to shrug the person off until she realised it was Bambam.

“Tsk, my thoughts are much more valuable than a simple penny, if you were to offer me a diamond or ruby, then you might just get lucky

“Tsk, my thoughts are much more valuable than a simple penny, if you were to offer me a diamond or ruby, then you might just get lucky.” He laughed, knowing her being a dragon meant that if she was presented anything that wasn’t shiny, she wasn’t interested.

“Can’t blame me for trying. What brings noona to the docks?”

“On my way to the Park Bistro if you must know. I need to speak with Jimin, it’s quite important.” He tugged her out the path of a large supply carriage that stunk with the scent of fish as it trudged down the wooden docks.

“You don’t say? Well in that case I’ll escort you, seeing that if I leave you to your day dreaming you might end up either road kill or sleeping with the fishes and ruining that lovely gown of yours.”  She laughed and eyed him with slight suspicion.

“Surely Kunpimook has better and more important things to tend to then escorting me around… Why so interested in my quest.”

With as much dramatic flair as he possessed, Bambam clutched his chest and said, “Noona has no idea how bored I’ve been since your last visit! It’s a pleasure having you around! It usually means something exciting is about to happen.”
