The field and the pads

Before the season

Dj's POV
Me and Jaden were practicing he wanted to be a quarterback and I wanted to be a wide receiver so we both worked on it together. As I sprinted he threw the ball I turned and caught i threw it back to him and got set he called hike and I ran he threw the ball to far ahead I sprinted and dove managing to catch it I got up and threw the ball to him "hail Mary" he said I nodded he called hike I started running then broke into a sprint as I got about 20-30 feet away he threw the ball as I went for the catch I lost my footing and fell I reached my hands up and gripped the ball but as I fell I dropped it. "My bad!" I yelled to him "it's alright" he said.    I slowly walked and grabbed the ball and tossed it to him. I got set again and we ran the Hail Mary, I sprinted getting a bit farther and he threw the ball I turned around staying up caught the ball and stopped. "Ready to condition?" He asks me I nodded we had field goals at our school a full hundred yards and we ran hundred yard sprints numerous times but we mainly focused on my receiving and his throwing accuracy as the sun went down we went back to my house and played games the season was gonna start soon. As we got home we went to my room and played some video games while we waited for dinner as dinner was finishing we went to the table and got our food when dinner finished
