Fresh beginings

I opened one eye lid to see the the sun rays in my eyes, quickly shutting them keeping the sun out of my eyes. I groaned, I didn't feel like getting up. I hate going to new schools and meeting new people. This is the third time I've had to do this, my whole life, fun.
I opened my eyes all the way and hopped out of bed. My mom came into my room and asked if i was getting ready for school, yet. I said "No, I just got out of bed, mom." she said, Well hurry up Cammy." She then left my room. I headed to my closet and laid out at least three different outfits down on my bed. I looked at them each for a good five minutes. i finally decided on a outfit. I chose black jeans, a ninja turtle tee, a black zip up jacket, and white, low top converse. I took a look in the mirror to check out how I looked. I looked up, then down, and realized I was missing something. I went to the top drawer to my dresser and pulled out a black beanie. Sliding it on my head realizing that that was what I needed for my finishing touch. I went beside my bed and grabbed my backpack. I looked up as I was bending back up and saw the picture of Dan and I on top of a stack of pictures. I grabbed it and wanted to cry.
Dan is my EX boyfriend. He left me on our way to high school. Leaving middle school, is where i lost most of my friends. People went to different schools or had to move due to some family issues. So when I went to high school Dan and I had to brake up. It was hard for me, he was my boyfriend through out middle school. It was hard to loose him after all those years. I acted like him leaving wasn't going to hurt me, but really inside it did hurt me a lot. I wanted to die. I couldn't handle loosing him.
I got out of my daydreaming and saw Groot come up to me and started licking my face. I started giggling and grabbed on to him and hugged him. I called out to him as I grabbed my backpack and ran downstairs, "CAMMY STOP RUNNING DOWN THE STAIRS! My mom yelled as I slid across the tile with Groot following me. "Sorry mom", I said as I gripped my self steadily. " I have to go or I'll be late mom ", I grabbed my car keys and left the house before she could say a word.
