Summary: you were a normal girl, that was until you died and was sent back to an era where Vikings still roamed the earth. There, you met Aslaug and assisted her for as long as possible. In that time you met Ivar and his brothers. Eventually, falling in love with him.

__________

You could remember everything. Your past, well the future, haunted your dreams. Every night would be the same. You would thrash in your bed until Aslaug came and woke you up. Perfect, that describes your memory of your human life. You could no longer be human, you went back in time for God's sake. At first, you didn't know what to do. You wandered aimlessly, fending off whoever hurt you. And through that, no one could find sanctuary unscathed. The glass handle of your bedroom door, how you always walked on the crack in the pavement, your mums red car you opted to call Ruby. Every once and a while they would come to mind, sparked by a random chain of events. Aslaug understood, you told her everything, she was a big sister to you. And with her dreams, she knew the Gods would send her someone, someone important. Meaning, it was suspected that she would come across you.

Forever you stayed together. However, you didn't age. Near enough a decade went by and you were still a (Y/A) year old girl. Soon enough, your theory created meant that you would only age when the time of your going back occurred. Being stuck in your body for about a thousand years didn't pose well in your mind. But, with that, you could live through history. You had the cure to what everyone feared... Time. It was ever flowing, it couldn't touch you. Like it was a stream, and while everyone was being pulled by the current, you were watching on until it was your time to jump in.

Your days were normal. You assisted Aslaug while many maidens guarded her. And then one day, while she was bathing. A group of Northmen spied upon your sister. Each one was bewitched with her beauty, you could tell. And one held a bright light in his eyes, as he observed her every detail, as if breathing in a new scent. Even you had to admit, she was a sight for sore eyes. With her copper locks and enchanting grey eyes, she could fit on a vogue magazine. She never understood what you meant when you told her this, but through a simple explanation she thanked you for the compliment.

Surely, at first you expected Aslaug to detest this Ragnar Lothbrok. He was sly, he had a son and was therefore married or widowed. And judging by the ring or his finger you came to the conclusion that it was not the latter. So, when he tested her wits, your blood was boiling. He was already promised to another, yet he expected Aslaug to come dressed in a net, eating an onion while accompanied by a dog. She believed your reasoning was correct, agreed that the very situation was preposterous. However, this is what she said was needed to be done. Sharing it with no one else but you -or so she said- she told you of her role. The one that held a significant importance in Ragnar's legacy. Therefore, you let it run its course. You saw no harm in it, but, there was the problem with his wife and the son who he had brought along. Every time you caught sight of the young boy, you could see the obvious distaste he held for Aslaug. You couldn't deny you felt it too at times. However, you loved your sister all the same. Without her, you would be dead or even worse. Thus, wherever she went, you followed. That included when she fell pregnant, and had to follow Ragnar to Kattegat. In that time, you grew closer to Bjorn, in some way he saw you as a friend, someone who understood. Therefore, he did not care that you considered yourself a sister to the woman that tore his world apart.
