I woke up to the sound of thunder in the early morning and my window flying open. I sat up in bed panting, getting up swiftly to shut the cold air out. I decided to wake Elena and Jeremy up so that they could help me close all of the windows in the house.

After I woke Elena up, she woke Jeremy up and we sealed all vents. I slumped myself back into bed but I didn't feel tired so I just layed there, thinking about everything. Does Elena have feelings for Stefan? Do I feel anything for Damon? As much as I didn't want to admit, he changed me, I'm not the same. He makes me feel crazy and makes me want to take risks but Stefan comforts me and my heart skips a beat every time I'm near him. Besides, Damon's an asshole.

Elena and I made our way to the Salvatore boarding house to get the latest gossip.

"I say we go to Pearl's, bust her door down and annihilate the idiot that attacked us last night", Damon began raging.

I crossed my arms and Elena copied. "I can't believe you made a deal with her", I comment with annoyance.

He walked over to me. "More of a helpful exchange of information. She's... Scary", he comments with a smile.

"Plus she's helping you get Katherine back. Because Damon gets what he wants, as usual, no matter who gets hurt in the process", Elena comments rudely but I agreed.

Damon walked over to a chair and sat in it. "How long are you two going to be angry at me for turning your birth mother?", He asks us with no remorse.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed, walking over to him. "Elena has accepted that fact, but I on the other hand am going to need a lot more from you before I could consider forgiving you for everything you've done", I announce and he looks at me with guilt but tries not to show it.

Damon left. "He just makes me so cranky", Elena comments dramatically and I rolled my eyes since she's begging for attention from Stefan.

"He makes us all cranky", Stagnant says whilst smiling at me and I giggle.

"So... What's the plan?", I asked him.

He walks over to me. "You and Elena are going to stay home, where it's safe", he tells me whilst cupping my face.

My eyes widen with shock. "Fine", I give in but unsure if I'd listen or not.

Elena and I left to go home before the rain got worse. I made some hot chocolate for the two of us whilst we watched Star wars in the front room.

The film ended just as I gave another mug of chocolate goodness to her.

"It's too cold", she moaned and giggled.

"Here, let me warm that for you", I said before raising my hand over her mug and then steam coming from it. She thanked me before the phone began ringing.

I got up from the couch and picked it up. "Gilbert residential", I said with a smile.

"It's me...", Damon said quickly before I hung up with a roll of my eyes.

There was a knocking at the door, I opened it to see Damon at it.

"You're ignoring me", he said and walked inside as if he owned the place.

"No. 6 missed calls, sorry my phone's dead", I said sarcastically.

He looked around swiftly. "Is Stefan here?', he asked worried. I shook my head. "He went out onto the woods and I can't get hold of him", he told me, looking at his phone again.

I tried calling him but it went to voicemail.

Damon left vaguely and Elena and I began watching the next Star wars and then telling Elena I was tired but actually sneeking out to go with Damon. I knew exactly what was happening but I didn't want to tell Elena because I would do whatever it takes to protect those who are close to me.
