Miles separate, oceans split, worlds remove, and yet one at heart;
eye to eye, breath in breath, skin on skin, and yet a reality apart.
The truth unsaid that now forever lies
lost between our last goodbyes.
Golden leaves descend
But winter is not the end
Just starting again
Actions shout loudly
the words she couldn't tell me.
Just as she couldn't understand his naive eyes,
he couldn't understand her silent cries.
He died in hoping forever and a day,
waiting for words she was too afraid to say.
K ind child, do not weep
I am laid in winter's deep
A llured, I now sleep
She slipped to her knees, unzipped his marriage,
and dropped his dignity to the floor.
