Hope is
water poured on unquenched ground,
seed planted in desert surround,
life grown upon deaths's crown.
Hope is
time given that you cannot reclaim,
money invested in another's name,
a child released to a world untame.
Hope is
fairness applied without reserving,
love spread to those undeserving,
forgiveness of the past observing.
Hope is
fathers, sons, fighting for,
mothers, daughters, all ensure,
light will shine again once more.
