Relatively calmer, Rohan enters the room once again.

His eyes hold the ghost of a fiery rage that once consumed his mind, and Ira's body.

"Hey, babe..."

Sick and tired of the same apology coming from his mouth, Ira faces downwards, focussing only on the radiant face of her daughter, nothing else.

"Hey, Ira. I'm sorry. I guess, I kinda got absorbed into the stereotypes of this world. Girls can do what boys do. I bet you our baby girl will do so much better than any baby boy would have done.

"Look, Ira, I'm sorry for what I did before. Please, please, please, forgive me. I wanna give our daughter an amazing childhood that she can look back on and smile at. Come on, let's work together and make this happen. Please. Our daughter deserves the universe."

She does it for her daughter: her daughter needs the father figure in her life and the amazing childhood that only her father can provide.

And all else, is collateral damage.
