"the makings of a man"

"Man up"
"Don't be a sissy"
"You throw like a girl"
"Grow a pair"
"Pussy"
"Faggot. Queer."

Words not used to create.

They screw with
A boy
But from these ashes
Rises a pheonix
Of a man.

The power from within is enough.

Those phrases
Are destructive to a
Growing, ever changing
Young persons'
Mind.

Our strength presents itself through weakness.

The tears are not
A sign of
"Being a girl"
Better yet, they showcase the
Becomings of a man.

Don't be afraid of who you are.

The stereotypes
Do not have to
define you.
Make yourself
And create your own.

Independence from society is key.

Distance yourself from
The ones refusing
To begin anew.
You choose your
Own fate.

These are the makings of a man.
