Chapter 2

~Tris POV~

Caleb and I get out of the car and walk inside the main office of the school which is in the Erudite sector.
When we get to the front desk, Caleb speaks up "Hi! I'm Caleb Prior and this is Beatrice. We are here dor our first day of school and-"
"oh! hello you two! We were expecting you." the secretary says while shaking our hands. "Mrs. Mathews will talk to you in a minute." We nod and say thank you.
A few seconds later a blond haired middle aged woman walks to us smiling. "You must be the Priors" she says "I'm Jeanine Mathews but please call me Jeanine. Welcome to Divergent High."
"Thank you Miss-" I correct myself quickly "Jeanine"
She smiles "Let's give you a brief explanation of what you have to do. Today, you will sign up for the sector you choose and you will have a student asigned to you to give you a tour of the place and the subjects. Tomorrow, please wear the colors of the sector." As she saw my frowning, she spoke again. "To identify the students in each sector, we decided that instead of uniforms you will use determined colors. Abnegation uses gray, Amity yellow amd red, Candor white and Black, Dauntless black and Erudite blue" I look at myself and I saw I was wearing an outfit probably the Abnegation would wear except for my blue jeans. I turn again to Jeanine and she hands me a paper.
"Please fill out your information and the faction of your choice. Don't worry, take your time to decide if you haven't. Choose wisely." She smiles again and leaves.
I turn to my brother "What are you going to choose?"
"Ummm..... I don't know really" he says frowning and sits on a desk to fill out the form. I don't know why but I can tell he was lying. He usually says things straight foward, but not this time. Maybe it was because he didn't want me to be influenced by his choice....or he didn't want to be near me.
I sigh and go to a desk to fill out my name, age and the usual stuff. Once i'm done, the only space left is the choice of faction. I start dealing wih myself.

Okay let's go for the obvious. I'm not that kind. That leaves Amity out. I lie too much and I have secrets to keep.....so that leaves Candor out. Erudite.......well, I am smart....but not enough to be a nerd....so maybe not. That leaves Abnegation and Dauntless. Abnegation is the faction my parents chose. I always wanted to be like them....maybe I should choose this one. But I feel like I can be dauntless. I am brave. Dauntless is like the police. Usually when the dauntless graduate, they take jobs to protect the people. I always wanted to do that. But I want to help people as well. Help and Protect are not that diferent........

I turn to the page and write the faction I choose. This is where I belong.....
Dauntless

I stand up from my chair and see my brother waiting for me. "You took a while!" He says and I roll my eyes. "it was a hard decision!"
Jeanine comes back and we hands her the forms.
"Alright!" She says after looking at our choices. "Caleb, you stay here since this is the building where you are going to be.....and you Beatrice, I will make a call to make a student show you the Dauntless sector"
My brother and I look at each other for a few seconds stunned. I'm a bit surprised he chose Erudite and obviously he can't believe I am Dauntless.
"Is there any questions?" She asks and we say no at the same time. "Alright then. Have fun!" We say thank you and she leaves.
"Well, I guess I have to go....." I tell Caleb
"Yea, I see you at home. So.....you chose the crazy faction." I laugh a bit and hug him "See you later, nerdy. Make friends!" He chuckles and we leave towards our sectors of the school.

Tris: hey! Aren't you forgeting something?
Me: well I was getting to that....but you didn't let me finish.
Tris: okay! Can I say it with you?
Me: okay fine!
Caleb: Can I say it too pleeeeeease??
Me: alright fine! One the count of three! One-
Four: hey woah woah woah! What about me?
Caleb: hey what are you doing here?!? You didn't even appear on the book!
Four: well i'm tired of waiting! I'm bored!
Me: guys!
Four: what is your problem Caleb? I mean really...
Caleb: oh shut up! I cant believe that you're-
Me: DONT SPOIL THIS BOOK! I HATE IT!
Four and Caleb: fine.....
Me: alright are you ready? One, two, three!
Tris, Caleb, Four and Me: ALL RIGHTS TO THE AMAZING VERONICA ROTH!!!
