"Mm. Sunset."
Rey lifted her head at Kylo's words to behold the dying sun's sunset radiance. "How beautiful."
After a moment of silence, he took Rey's hands in his and said quietly and seriously, "Rey... you are the only one who has ever meant so much to me. Without you... Without you, I would be the sea without the moon -- the moon without the sun -- I would be... lost."
"Ben," she breathed in response. "You are special to me too. You are my moon and stars."
"Rey, I..." he whispered, seemingly to himself. But when Rey looked at him, she saw a glimmer of hope in his agonized eyes.
Rey sighed with contentment and brought him closer. She gazed at the beautiful caramel rays of the falling sun, thinking about everything that had transpired on this day and all that would pass between them.
"I love you, Ben Solo."
"I love you too, Rey."
Their lips met, and brunet strands met charcoal ones, aflame in the dying light. The sand was their witness and the rumbling ocean their approving audience, and Ben Solo, her eternally faithful lover. Rey thought to herself that nothing could be more perfect in the world.
