It hadn't gone well with the man - the man I'd walked back with. It turned out, he was the chairman Setsuko had spoken of. And he was no fan of me or my ideas.
Not only had I realized my mistake a little too late with the subject of his familiarity, but he had also bluntly refused my request. And quite angrily at that. I could still hear his booming voice reverberate through my throbbing head.
"Absolutely not! My dear, I'm not sure who's filled your head with the idea that demons are welcome let alone harmless to this academy, but I can assure you that they were hopelessly incorrect!" He planted a firm hand to Headmistress Setsuko's desk, glaring heatedly at me as I sat across from him.
He was just like Sesshomaru in his anger, only a little more vocal and . . . cultured.
"You don't know that! Have you even given them a chance?! I can te-"
"A chance to do what? Rob? Murder? Vandalize?!" He seethed in rage, and had in not been for his human scent, I'd have mistaken him for a demon. His hair was so blonde it was practically white, and his hazel eyes seemed to appear more golden the angrier he grew.
"Why do you label them as such?!" Feeling my anger finally ignite, my legs acted on their own, forcing me to stand hastily and glare equally at the man. "Giving a label to a group of people is just the same as setting a biased standard for them to live! And the standard people like you have given them is what has affected society so!" I angrily growled back at him. He was just like any other human I could remember, taking one look at the extrinsic values and setting that person aside into a group society had defined.
