Apparently nicknames are mandatory for this format. So nicknames are mandatory, but only for pages with this format. An already adopted Pokémon will have its name added to the paragraph, and a Pokémon with a nickname can't be adopted anymore. (e.g. Eva strolls around nervously, searching for food. Skellet flies overhead, scouring for bones to snatch and adorn herself with. A particularly old skeleton catches her eye, and she swoops down to take her newest decoration. (Darker_Black_Rose)

Nightmare throws his Shadow Bone at her, smacking her in the face. He takes a protective stance over the skeleton bravely, ready to defend and honor the dead, as she screeches angrily and attacks him with Air Slash. (Eve_Spears)

As the Air Slash is about to strike Marowak, Blade swoops down and shields him from the attack, taking the blows himself. He rises unfazed and challenges the Mandibuzz to a Sky Battle. (Golden_Mermaid13)

Nearby, Gus, Gas and Spar (in order of evolution) hover over the broken stone graves, their flames glowing eerily in the moonlight. They remain still and don't appear to notice the Misty Terrain coming to life around them... (--StarryNight--)

Marina glares at the band of candles, apparently thinking they're feasting on the souls of the dead. She uses Attract to infatuate them all and she leads them out of the cemetery. (PotatoHusky)

Noctis glowers at the graves from a withering tree. He stays still briefly before flying off into the forest. Shortly after, he returns with a beak full of flowers and sets them at a grave before he returns to his perch. (BonstarOwO)
