Name: Raychel
Franchise: Mighty No.9
Gender: Female
Species: Robot

Raychel, or "Ray" (picture above) as she prefers to call herself, is a futuristic robot from the world of Mighty No.9. Not much is known about Ray nor her past, especially when it comes to her looks and condition. She's part of the DLC of the MightyNo.9 game. The DLC contains a new level,"the vermillion destroyer," where Beck, aka Mighty No.9, discovers Ray in an old Cherry-Dynamics factory. The DLC also contains the option of playing the game as Ray, revealing her motivation for hunting down the Mighty Numbers. I do literally mean "hunting" them down. Due to Ray's energy problem, she must devour the xels (cells) of other robots to keep from her xels from deteriorating. Ray is one of three robots in the futuristic world of Mighty No.9 that has the ability to absorb xels, the other two consisting of Beck, the main character, and Trinity, the main antagonist, also a female robot like Ray. Beck is the only male robot of the three.

Much like Beck, Ray has the ability to copy the abilities of her enemies, though this only physically changes the appearance of her left arm, or her right arm, as she would say. Beck, however, has his whole body change depending on what power he uses. This doesn't make Ray any less dangerous. She may not have an arm cannon, but considering what she's capable of, she doesn't need it. In place of an arm cannon, she has claws that can rip just about anything apart. She also has a dash ability, which is also one of her xel absorption capabilities. She can download "codes" from her fallen prey and use its ability as she pleases. Ray can absorb xels as it floats in the air with a mighty roar, which can knock out communication signals with ease. She can also teleport from place to place at will, making her dangerous and unpredictable. If that wasn't enough for you, she also has a "berserk mode," which boosts her powers to their full potential, and also allows Ray to use her deadliest and most destructive moves, Collapse Ray. She can use her mouth as a fire-breathing cannon so powerful, it can blast a crater-sized hole through concrete and into the sewers below them. Worse yet, she doesn't have to unleash it all at once; she can almost rapid fire this cannon at her foes, then use it's full power to finish the job. Ray can even teleport right after using her cannon.

Judging from the cutscenes and dialogue from the DLC, Ray not only starts to get the evidence she supposedly needs, she also remembers Professor William White by his original name; Bill Blackwell. This suggests that Ray was built before Beck, maybe even before Trinity, the main antagonist, who was built before Beck. William, or rather Bill, acts like he doesn't want to make contact with Ray, as seen in the last cutscene before the credits. However, he also seems to want to save Ray from her xel deterioration, as the professor tells Beck to "reach her," or heal and repair her as Beck had done with his brothers and sisters. The professor also is concerned at the end credits when he says that Ray's deterioration continued and that a explosion resulted, with no sign of Ray, though it's revealed to us, the player, that Ray is still alive. Even before Ray was released in the DLC, trailers for the DLC called her "Number 0" suggesting Ray was created before any of the Mighty Numbers, including Beck.

Ray has also been featured in the game Mighty Gunvolt Burst, again as a DLC character. Ray, amnesia striken and still out for blood, finds Dr. White's VR training program and decides to go through them to see if she can find his whereabouts. In this game, she has the ability to launch her clawed right arm at enemies, and this ability is called Claw Shot. It was also Mighty Gunvolt Burst that gave Ray's powerful blast ability the name Collapse Ray. After going through what can be described as a 16-bit remix of the Mighty No.9 game, her search ends in vain. And worse yet, her unstable condition actually gets worse and her very identity is crushed, making her an uncontrollable, mindless, killing machine. Nothing has been heard from Ray since...
