Error's closed fisted hand spread open and he swung the girl into the anti-void. "This is annoying. . ." he muttered, feeling the pain he had just caused her. Her hands were suddenly free of the strings. "What am I supposed to do with a human. . ." he muttered, walking off as Y/N got to thier feet, grumbling under her breath on how rough he had been. Her e/c eyes flashed with anger before looking around at the vast whiteness.
It wasn't exactly white - if she had to say what color it was, she would describe it as white of course, but it was more or less the absense of colors than true white. "Where am I?" she pondered. Everywhere she looked seemed to stretch out to nothing. There was nothing here - no table or couch or grass or anything. "What IS this place?" Y/N asked, then turned to see if that skeleton was still here. She could only make out a bare shape of it. So she ran after it, deciding that she would much rather have him to talk to than no one.
"H-hey! Where am I? There's absolutely nothing here! You can't just leave me here. . ." Y/N said and Error turned towards her, looking pensive. She tried to grab his arm to slow him down but he jerked away and looked at her as though she was crazy to try to touch him. "DoN't ToUcH mE! sTuPiD hUmAn. . ." he mumbled then glared at Y/N, as though she had done something incredibly stupid.
"WhAt Do YoU wAnT?" he asked, turning to look at her. Why did he have to put up with this annoying human?! "I. . ." Y/N fell silent for a moment then looked thoughtful. She needed some reason to keep him around. She would go mad very quickly here she just knew without at least one person to talk to. "There's nothing here. Humans need stuff to survive. . . food and places to sit and stuff like that. . . and. . ." Error sighed. "StAy HeRe. I wIlL rEtUrN sOoN." he said and made a portal. Y/N watched as he walked into the portal and disappeared, leaving no traces behind. Y/N just sat on the white ground - or floor - or whatever it was called, waiting.
Y/N didn't know how long she had waited for Error to return. It could have been fifteen minutes. Or an hour. It was very hard to tell time with no sun or moon out of a window or anything similar to a clock. The empty nothingness was unbearable. . . The portal opened once again, but this time, a different skeleton came out, followed by the black one she was getting used to. "Hi Y/N! My name is Ink. It's nice to meet you." he said and for the first time, Y/N felt like smiling. "My name is Y/N, and it's nice to meet you Ink." Y/N said, feeling much better for some reason. Error seemed irritated. "Let's hurry up already. . ." he mumbled. Ink merely smirked. The portal disappeared with a wave of Error's hand and behind Y/N, another portal appeared. "I will give you a SMALL area Ink that your power will work. . . give the human whatever they need so she'll be quiet. . ." he growled and walked into the portal.
Ink shrugged and walked in the black portal. Y/N nervously walked through, not wanting to be left behind. ~ An hour later, Ink and Y/N was staring at the house Y/N had always wanted. It was a cute dollhouse styled painted f/c with (color) shutters and a picket fence around it with velvety soft grass all around it. Stone foot paths lead up to the fancy styled door and Y/N was so excited that she hugged Ink which happily hugged her back before they went inside. Everything that she had wanted was in the house as well in her favorite style decor. The kitchen was well stocked as well with cans and bags of food that she said she liked.
"Don't worry, just because I painted it doesn't mean it will taste like paint." he said, painting a bag of Dorito chips on the quaint lace tablecloth and popping it open. He took a chip and ate it, smiling. Y/N took a bite off of a chip and gasped. These were perfect! "Wow Ink, that's incredible!" she said and Ink chuckled. "I'm glad, the house suits you. So. . . why exactly is Error keeping you here?" he questioned, looking at Y/N. Y/N shrugged. "He tried to kill me but everytime he tried it would just backlash on him." Y/N said thoughtfully. Ink looked intriqued, the shapes switching in his eyes.
"Weird. I mean, I'm glad your safe and he can't hurt you but I've never heard of that before. Hmm. . ." he muttered and put his skeletal fingers to his teeth in thought. Then he looked up, one eye a red square and the other a yellow lightbulb just to change again and shake his head. "It's impossible. . ." "What is?" Y/N asked, not understanding what Ink was saying. What was impossible? "Humans can't be soul bound to monsters. . . can they? I thought that was impossble. . ."
At that moment Error came through a portal, stepping out into the kitchen where they were. "Not bad. . ." he said, looking at the detail. Then he spotted Ink pulling that expression. "Wh-what? Did I miss something?" he asked. "Just something that's impossible. Something about soul bound or something like that." Y/N said. Error looked as though he had been slapped. "But that's impossible!" he said, slamming his fist down on the white lacy tableclothed table, making the bag of chips jump and Y/N's heart hammer in her chest.
"What is?!" Y/N asked. "It's the only thing that makes sense and you know it Error." Ink said and his eyes shifted shapes again, looking at Y/N then at Error. Error's misshapened eyes flickered back and forth on Y/N and Ink, disbelievingly. "Humans and monsters can't be soul bound Ink, that's ridiculous!" Y/N started to lose her patience. "What the heck does that even mean?! What is soul bound?! Stop treating me as though I'm not here!" Y/N demanded, starting to get very angry. Ink just grinned at you and Error looked like he didn't know what he was going to do next - his mismatched eyes were wide with surprise and. . . was that a hint of fear?
"It's nothing you need to know about." he cut off harshly. Ink looked at him disapprovingly. "It concerns her too Error. Stop being so rude." he chastised and Error glowered. "Y/N, soul binding is. . . err. . . how to describe this. . . it's usually just between monsters. The only time a monster and a human were soul bound was. . . a. . . thousand years ago I think? That's what I had gathered from reading at the library in Snowdin about it. I think humans call it 'finding their soulmate.' If your soulmate gets injured in close proximity, you will feel that pain and vice versa. It means you have found your true love."
Y/N didn't quite know what she felt. It was definitely a mixture of different emotions. Shock was possibly the most predominate one, followed by confusion and dislike of the idea. "So your saying that. . . HE is MY soulmate?!" she asked, pointing at Error. Error's face was a dusted medium blue that covered his tear-like marks on his face. "I can't have a human as a soul bind!" he said, his mixture of emotions showing through his expressions and his mismatched eyes. Ink chuckled. "Looks like you two have a lot to work out." Ink said, eating another Dorito chip as he watched the monster and human stare at each other and then try to hush their inner screaming. "And it looks like my job is done here." he said, using his paintbrush to paint a portal which he stepped through, grabbing the bag of doritos before he disappeared. The last thing that he heard was the both of them shouting: "There's no way you could be my soul bound!"
