CLARY POV
"GET OUT" He yells. I look at my boss in shock.
"Wait, Wait Please let me explain" I try.
"I SAID GET OUT" He yells louder then he grabs the broom and starts hitting me with it. I squeal and start running off. I was in DC. My parents didn't give me any money so I have to go from job to job, I get fired a lot though. I was in Johns Hopkins, but since I didn't have any money for an apartment nor a dorm, it left me like this. Handel If a bunch of jobs while in the university, that's not even the worst part. I had a crappy apartment with a roommate named Jax.

He had a different girl every night, which didn't help me with studying. I haven't even told Jace about Jax, not because I was scared he would be jealous....But because I haven't talked to him since new year. I'm in my third year of college. And it's June, so in a few months I will be in my fourth year of college. I have called Jace 299....no make that 300 Times. And he didn't pick up, great. I called Imogene to see if he changed his number....he didn't. I sigh and walk into my apartment. I hear moans from upstairs. I roll my eyes and slam my bedroom door shut. I collapse on the bed. Maybe Jace just doesn't want to see you anymore....Maybe He found someone new. My heart squeezed painfully at the thought. I bite my lip. He can't do that....right? I gave up everything for him, there's no way he would do that...right? I can feel my eyes start to water, and it's not really helping with the moans from upstairs. My phone starts ringing I look at who's calling.
Jace❤️💋 is calling

My eyes widen I pick it up and answer as fast as I can. "Jace?!" I ask.
"Hey" He says. My heart flutters at the sound of his voice, but I push the flutters down.
"Hey? That's all you're gonna say? Jace you haven't called me since New Years....NEW YEARS!" I yell.
"Clary....are those moans?" He asks. I let out a breath of frustration.
"Yes Jace, they are moans....from my roommate...oh wait, you don't know him because you haven't even texted me a single word since New Year's Eve!" I yell.
"Who's your roommate?" Jace asks.
"Why didn't you pick up Jace? I called you 300 Times....literally!" I ask.
"Who's Your roommate?" Jace asks again. I was about to go out on him again but I get interrupted by Jax entering the room in his underwear.
"Hey keep it down will you?" He asks as he winks.
"You're such a pig Jax!" I yell and throw my pillow at him, but he closes the door so the pillow hits the door instead.
"Jax?" Jace questions. "He's a boy?!" He asks.
"Yes Jace, Jax is a boy, now, why didn't you pick up?" I ask him.

"I'm sorry Clary i....I just...I've been busy" Jace explains.

"Oh yeah?" I ask. "Busy with who? Your side chick?" I ask.

"What?" He asks in disbelief. "What? What the hell Clary? you think I'm cheating on you?" Jace asks.

"Well it wouldn't be the first time" I tell him.

"You don't trust me" He says in realization. Finally, it's like I woke up.

"NO, Wait Jace, I'm sorry....Just listen to me...ok...please." I say crying

"What is it....Baby are you ok?" Jace asks. I keep crying.

"Jace, my parents didn't give me a dollar, I had to survive on my savings and those went away fast here....So,so I'm here in this s#i++y apartment.....And I had to get a roommate and..and a bunch of jobs I got fired from....And then you didn't answer my calls, and I also had so much collage stress....I can't do this Jace, and I miss you so much" I cry pathetically.

"F*ck Clary, I'm sorry" Jace says. "I'm such an idiot....."

"Yes, you are" I say. The door bell rings. "Give me a sec, someones at the door" I say as I wipe my eyes. I walk down the stairs and open the door. I look at the person at the door. I drop my phone and cover my mouth. "No way" I say.
