"Annyeong modudeul nae ileum-eun Jeun Kaimi, mannaseo bangabseubnida." I spoke and then bowed to my classmates.

*Hello everyone, I'm Kaimi. Nice to meet you.

They clapped their hands while eyeing me curiously, except for a few people.

The teacher turned to the class as she lets out a big smile, "Hanguge osin geoseul hwan-yeonghabnida. Jilmun-i iss-eusimyeon eonjedeunji mun-uihasibsio."

*Welcome to Korea, if you have any questions please ask.

Jaebeom catches my eye instantly once I look up as he nods looking like a duck bobbing his head up and down.

I covered my mouth pretending to cough to suppress my laughter. A girl with long brown hair and an oval shaped face raises her hand. The teacher nods as she speaks up, facing me.

"Dangsin-eun migug-in-ibnikka?" I nodded shyly as she rolls her eyes but shoots me a fake smile.

*Are you American?

She speaks up again whilst looking at her nails, "Wae yeogilo isa wassni?"

*Why did you move here?

The teacher shoots her a look as the girl shuts up instantly, turning to me she sends me a sweet smile. She gestures for me to go back to my seat, so we can start our morning lesson.

While walking back, I heard a lot of whispers going on. I bit my lip hard as I sat back into my seat, smoothing out the bottom of my skirt. My hands were playing with a piece of thread from my cardigan.

Feeling someone stare at me, I raised my head to see the girl who questioned me, and a few of her friends looking at me with judging eyes. They looked away, covering their mouth to hold in their laughter.

I gave them a weird look with my face scrunched up, like that was going to hide their obvious laughter?

What's wrong with people?

Did I say something wrong?

I barely said more than 2 sentences..

Furrowing my eyebrows, I let a frown rest on my face. I bit the inside of my lip hard as I tried to shake off the thoughts of them laughing at me.

Feeling a 'psst' coming from my right side, I looked at Jaebeom. He tilted his head to the side as he looked at my facial expression carefully.

He whispered still staring at my eyes, trying to avoid his gaze, "Gwaenchanha?"

*Are you okay?

I shrugged my shoulders before I saw the girls out of the corner of my eyes again. He notices that something is off, as he whips his head around to look at the girls.

Or should I say threaten them with his eyes?

He's extremely observant, I don't know whether that was a good thing or bad. Boys back home usually wouldn't even notice if there was food stuck in your teeth.

He gives me a grin and he nods, sending me a sly thumb ups underneath the desk. He reassured me with his eyes as I felt my heart start to beat faster. I told myself that I was going to be okay, I had him by my side.

🌱

My back was pushed against the wall as I winced. Trying my best to jet out of the gym locker room, one of them pulled my arm back as I let out a painful groan.

Turning my head to face them, anger was evident on my face. I felt my body start to shake as I grabbed the girl by the hair, dragging her back to where her friends were.

"What the fuck? Neo mwoya?!" I shouted at them as the girl tried to escape from my grasp.

*What do you guys want?!

The girl finally escapes from my grip as I let her hair go before pushing her back to her group, a bunch of no life bullies.

They all held each other, looking like I was the one who terrorized them. The girl with the long brown hair, name is Kim, towered up to me as she stares at me in disgust.

"Neowa Jaebeom-i hamkke issni?" I looked at her with disbelief as I scrunch my face up, muttering 'wae' as she pushed me on the shoulder.

*Are you and Jaebeom together?

Taking a few steps back, did they do all of this because of him?

An idea popped up as I tried to keep myself from laughing, wow this really looked like something out of a Korean drama.

"Neoneun geuleul joh-ahani?" I stared at her with a blank expression as she lets an annoyed expression rest on her face.

*Do you like him?

Walking out of the locker room, I saw a few figures rush back to wherever their position was previously. I looked at the class in confusion as I walked to my floor spot, I felt his eyes burn into my skull as I looked up.

Jaebeom again.

He mouthed to me, "Gwaenchanha?"

*You okay?

I nodded as I gave him a thumbs up, he nodded before turning his attention to his friends.

I let out a big sigh as I played with the grass on the field, this was going to be harder than I thought.

Leaning back, I looked up at the sky. There was a little breeze but not enough to make me chilly, hearing birds chirping in the distance. The sky was so blue and unrealistic, the clouds were swaying on their own. Completely forgetting what happened just moments ago, I focused on the sky for now.

I live for beautiful moments like this.
