Chapter 6

Amber’s Pov

“Amber get up" I heard Jen screech from the other side of the room waking me up and making me sit up and rub my eyes glaring at her as I did

"What Jen" I snapped as pain shot through my head, great tablet time I thought to myself. I hated tablets I couldn't swallow the damn things and nearly always choked on them and got them stuck in my throat.

"What time is anyway and how the hell aren't you hung-over" I growled at her I really was not a morning person

"It’s eleven missy and I never get hung-over" she smiled sweetly at me 

“plus you need to get up and stop wallowing" she informed me as he pulled a fresh skirt and top on still continuing her moaning at me the entire time she was getting changed

"Come on Amber I want to go to the market" she begged before raising her eyebrows and adding

"We are on holiday you know" she said knowing how to guilt trip me

Sighing in defeat I knew when it came to Jen I had no chance of winning any argument, I nodded at her, she was right. I was on holiday I couldn’t spend it mopping and in pain. Jumping up another sharp bolt of pain shot through my head and down my neck, I grimaced.

"You go" I said through clenched teeth,

"Let me take my painkillers and get ready and I’ll meet you there it’s only down the road isn’t it"

Unsure she nodded her eyes not leaving my as she took in my expression as my head began to pound more and more

 "Are you ok" she asked quietly

"Yeah I’ll live" I replied back knowing she knew I was lying

 "Just go Jen I’ll see you there, give me about an hour ish"

"Ok" she replied and walk towards the door looking back at me, then a sleeping Luc sprawled out all over the bed

"He’d do anything for you, you know Amber. He’d didn’t mean anything he said" she whispered

"I know Jen, I would do anything for him" I sighed longingly before I added

“and you Jen" hoping I didn’t give myself away too much, I did she started smiling to herself as she left the room clicking the door shut behind her.

Walking into the bathroom I couldn’t help but smile despite the pain in my head. Best foot forward Amber I thought. Your holiday starts here. Turning the shower on to warm up I walked over to Luc.

"Luc”..... No reply, I shook him and called his name again....... No reply

God that boy could sleep through anything I smiled, I bet even an earthquake couldn’t wake him. Then a wicked thought crossed my mind one I couldn’t help but giggle my head off at. I ran to the shower and turned it from hot to cold and grabbed a jug next to the bath. Filling it with ice cold water I tip toed around the edge of the bed and slowly pulled the cover back exposing a sleeping Lucas.

Chuckling to myself I tipped the water on to his head and darted into the bathroom as he sat bolt right screaming at the top of his voice. Doubled over with my back to the door I was literally crying from laughter. Whatever he’d do to get me back was so worth that.

"Amber, what the hell" he yelled still dazed but defiantly wide awake
