Chapter 11: My first kiss

Recap: And with that we run upstairs to my mom's Fashion Room.

Tris POV:

"Honey! Christina is here!" My mom yells up to me.

"Send her up please." I yell back.

"Stop yelling!" Caleb yells.

"But you're yelling!" Mom and I yell back.

"Stop the yelling." My dad yells.

"But you're yelling." Caleb, mom, and I yell back.

Christina walks into my room giggling.

She hands me my dress.

I lay it on my bed.

She sits me in a chair and begins poking and prodding at my poor face. She then braids my hair in a Rocker Chic Fishtail Braid Hairstyle.

I walk to the bathroom and put on my dress and heels.

I walk back to my room and Christina is already dressed.

I am about to look in the mirror and my mom stops me.

She hands me a heart shaped diamond necklace and puts a diamond headband in my hair.

I hug her.

I look at myself in the full length mirror. I look gorgeous. Wow, mom and Christina outdid themselves.

I smile.

Then I hear a knock at the door.

"It must be the boys." My mom says.

"I'll get it." Dad says.

"Uh-oh." I say and groan.

Will and Four are standing at the door. Four stands with the same color tie as my dress.

I look at Christina.

"It was necessary." She says.

"It was probably crucial."

"Oh yes it was. He was so useless. He wanted to pick light green instead of lime green! Can you believe the guy?" Christina says in frustration.

"Poor guy."

We walk down the stairs.

Both their mouths drop.

My mom pulls out the camera and snaps away.

I giggle.

"Mom, were gonna be late." I say.

"Hands above the equator, Four." My dad says.

I feel my cheeks burn up.

"Dad!" I exclaim.

"It's my job." He says.

"Oh my god." I say.

I pull Four out the door.

"Sorry about that." I say.

He chuckles.

"It's fine."

He opens the passenger door for me. I sit down and he closes it.

He opens the drivers side.

Will and Christina sit in back.

Minutes later, we are at the dance.

We walk inside. Four sticks in a corner.

I walk over to him.

"Hey. Enjoying yourself?" I ask him jokingly.

He laughs.

"Yep. Living the life." He replies.

"Come on. Let's dance."

"It's fine really."

"Aw. Please?"

I give him the puppy eyes and the quivering lip.

"Alright fine."

I smile and pull him onto the dance floor.

All of Me by John Legend comes on. Four puts his hand on my waist and I place my hands around his neck.

We begin slow dancing. I smile at him and he smiles back.

He spins me around and dips me towards the end of the song.

At the end of the song, I blush.

Four drives me and Christina to my place.

Christina walks into my house and shuts it, giving Four and I a brief moment.

"Thank you." I say.

"No problem." Four says smiling.

Without thinking, I kiss Four and he kisses back.

We pull away.

"Night Four." I say.

"Night Tris."

I walk into my house, shut the door, and lean against it.

I take a quick fangirl moment.

I look to my left and see Christina and my mom smiling.

"She had her first kiss!" My mom squeals.

I smile at her.

"Come on, Chrissy." I say.

"She had her first kiss!" My mom exclaims.

"Good night, Mrs. P." Christina says.

"First kiss." Mom says again.

"Night mom." I say giggling.

"Good night, girls." My mom says.

Christina and I laugh.
