In my head
In my heart

I tell myself
I need to do better

I should do better
I should get this done

How did I not see
How did I not realize

When people told me
It took awhile to stick in my head

When I think I do some terribly
Others think it's good

I was told my expectations
For myself were to high

I kept putting myself down
For doing a bad job

When I was actually doing a good job
People thought it was good

But I thought it wasn't

"Remember we don't expect the world from you do the best you can that's what we want from you that's what matters"

Why didn't I get that in my head sooner?
Why didn't I figure it out sooner?
