At Kim's Place

Marie Cousins P.O.V
I knocked on Kim's door, and she answered.

"Hey Marie." Kim said.

I began to pucker up and cry.

"Marie what's wrong?" Kim asked, her face getting concerned.

"It's my parents. They're getting separated."

"What?"

"Yeah they told me today."

"Marie I'm so sorry." Kim said as she pulled me into a tight hug.

"It's whatever."

"No it's not whatever."

"Hey can I sleep here tonight? I can't really go home right now."

"Yeah it's fine. Stay here."

"Thanks Kim. You're the best."

I put the backpack on the floor, and got out my writing book.

"So how have you been other then that? I'm sorry that I was so hard on you about moving on from Codey."

"No, it's fine really." I could feel myself grin, and my cheeks turning red.

"Ooo. What's with you?"

"Nothing."
 
"Fine don't tell me." Kim said, crossing her arms and looking away.

I rolled my eyes, and heard the phone ring.

"I've got it." Kim said.

"Okay."

Kim White P.O.V
"Hello?" I said into the phone.

"Kim. It's Marie's Dad."

"Can I help you Mr.Cousins?"

"Well is Marie there?"

"Yes she's here."

"Okay. Just wanted to make sure she was alright."

"I'll tell her to call you later okay? She's a little overwhelmed right now."

"Okay. Thanks Kim."

"No problem Mr.Cousins."

I hung up the phone, and looked over at Marie. I'm really worried about her. She has to move on from Codey, and she HAS to call her parents.

Marie Cousins P.O.V
"Who was that?" I asked Kim.

"Your Dad." She replied.

"Oh."

"You need to call them. They're worried about you."

"I'll call them later."

"Okay, but they're not the only ones who are worried."

"Kim I know you're worried but I'm okay I'm fine!"

"No you're not fine! I know you Marie!"

"I guess things haven't been the best for me, but one of the two problems might be solved."

"The one with Codey?"

I nodded.

"Well I want details."

"Okay. So today I went to 7-11 with Georgie, and he kissed me."

"OMG CONGRATS!"

Kim pulled me into a tight hug.

"Well it could be nothing so don't go getting your hopes up."

"I WAS RIGHT AGAIN! HE IS INTO YOU!"

"Okay Kim you were right." I said, rolling my eyes playfully.
