I struggled to keep a straight face and not a pained one. The beatings that I endured were truly torturous. But I had been through more. I could get through this. I watched as he exited the room. I studied the door, breaking down the locks in my mind. No doubt that they were trying to be sure that I wouldn't escape. They seemed a fine quality, not to mention the amount. My eyes darted from one to another. I counted 19. Dear gods of Olympus they took precautions. My eyelids all of a sudden started to drop, and before I noticed, I fell into a strangely yet relieving dreamless sleep.
