Lizzie's POV
Oli was chasing Lauren wildly round the house, he was getting pretty worked up, it was actually very funny. Then Lauren ran upstairs and Oli chased after her but Oli slipped on the way up I ran to help him, tripping over his leg and followed shortly by crashing to the bottom of the stairs, landing hard on my back and tailbone's, on the way down my leg got stuck in the banister and it was still trapped in between the wooden bars, but I couldn't feel it, I blacked out from the pain, but not before seeing Joel, running towards me yelling my name, I could hear someone crying, who I think was Yammy, I could hear Koil and Red trying to calm Oli, who was crying and yelling because he thought it was all his fault, and Lauren was silent, but I heard tiff and Ashley go up to her and comfort her, I didn't know what was going on, I tried to speak but I couldn't get my mouth to move, and then I blacked out.
Joel's POV
Lauren ran upstairs to escape Oli, but Oli of course followed her, slipping face first onto the stairs, Lizzie, being Lizzie went to help him while the rest of us laughed, but Lizzie, in her haste to get the Oli, she tripped over his outstretched leg and crashed to the bottom of the stairs, I panicked, o, no, what have I done,
Joel: LIZZIE (runs to her)
Tiff: somebody call an ambulance
Ashley: Got it (calls 999) (for all you Americans out there, that's 911)
5 MINUTES LATER
IN THE AMBULANCE
Nurse: Which one of you kids has the closest relationship to (Looks at sheet) Lizzie *****
Yammy: I'm her best friend
Joel: And I'm her boyfriend
Nurse: (beckons to Joel) Come on Then
Yammy: We'll see you there Joel
Joel: Ok (tears up)
Yammy: Joel, you have to be strong for her, she wouldn't want you to be upset
Joel: Ok
Nurse: We have to go
Joel: Bye Yammy
Yammy: I see you guys there
At the hospital
Yammy's POV
Yammy: I'll ask reception
Callum: Ok
Yammy: Where is Lizzie ***** (demands)
Receptionist: She just went into X-ray, with a young man
Yammy: yes that would be Joel, but when can we see her
Receptionist: Tomorrow at the earliest
Yammy: Ok, what time are your visiting hours?
Receptionist: 9 till 4
Yammy: We'll be here at 9 on the dot tomorrow (flicks her hair and walks away)
Lizzie's POV
I'm lying in a bed, but I can't move, I can't turn my head or move my arms and legs. I hear Joel's voice, it's blurry. I can't make out what he's saying. Am I awake, am I alive? Is this what it's like when I'm dead? Maybe I'm not dead. But would it be better if I was?
Joel: Lizzie, it's ok, I don't know if you can hear me or answer me but your in a hospital
Lizzie: (gasps for air) (shakily) Joel?
Joel: LIZZIE! (throws his arms around her) you're Ok!
Lizzie: I can't turn my head and I hurt everywhere
Joel: Lizzie, your in a hospital
Lizzie: WHAT
Joel: Lizzie, it's fine you fell down the stairs, you'll be fine
Lizzie: (starts hyperventilating) I need to get out of here (tries to move but screams in pain)
Joel: (panicked) Lizzie, stop trying to move, your only making it worse
Lizzie: I can't (struggles again, still screaming in pain) (tired and painful) I have to leave (starts crying and makes a final attempt to get up before passing out)
Joel: LIZZIE, LIZZIE WAKE UP (Shakes her gently) DOCTOR HELP
Doctor: (comes running in) what happened
Joel: She tried to get up, she won't wake up
Doctor: We were about to take her to X-ray, we have to get her to wake up, or she might not make it, her injuries have left her weak, she can't fight this on her own
Joel: (starts crying) Lizzie... Please wake up, (screams) PLEASE WAKE UP, (quietly) I can't lose you, you're all I've got.....
Doctors: Young man, we need you to leave
Joel: I can't
Nurse: I'm sorry (takes him gently out the room)
Joel's POV
I can't lose her, she's my everything, this is all my fault.
Nurse: It's going to be ok
Doctors: (from inside Lizzie's room) Clear (this goes on for sometime before sometime, then a doctor walks out)
Doctor: Joel.... She's......
