Mia pulled up her car into her drive, barely taking notice of the loose plants that loomed over the fading white fence. She hurried out of the car and started for the front door, but not before stealing one quick glance around the street. She eyed the are closely, making sure that she didn't miss anything. Once she was sure that there was nothing afoot, she shoved the key into the door and slid inside, out of the crispy spring cold that was nipping at her skin like little bugs biting down on her.

She tossed the keys onto the unit beside her door, not bothering to make herself comfortable.

"Lorenzo?" she called out as she walked into her kitchen, only to find it empty.

"I'm in the living room!" a voice called back to her.

She walked quickly, following the sound of his voice into the living room where Lorenzo was sat in one of the red recliners. It was leaned back, and he looked to be enjoying himself with a bowl of some sort of snack that he was busy shoving into his mouth.

"What's wrong, Mia?" he asked with a mouthful of food.

"Were you followed?" Mia ignored his question, rushing over to the windows. She pulled the blinds apart slightly, taking a peak outside, but all seemed normal.

Lorenzo caught on that something wasn't right so he set the bowl down and stood up, looking at Mia with an intrigued and concerned expression that was consuming his face by the second, his once soft features becoming pray to the worrisome look that was taking his face harshly.

Mia spun around to Lorenzo and started digging around in her pocket before she pulled out the document she printed out back at the DIS. Her hands working quick to uncrumple it. She straightened out the paper and shared it with Lorenzo, taking another glance around, her mind swirling with paranoia.

"Mia, what is..." Lorenzo asked, confused.

"Look, Enzo," Mia pointed at the paper, urging for him to read.

Lorenzo's eyes scanned over the paper until he saw his brother's name. His eyes glazed over it again and again, not sure what to think of it.

"I don't... What is this?" Lorenzo asked as he grabbed the paper out of her hands.

"I'm not sure yet," Mia said, walking over to a dark oaky cabinet that had a fancy looking whiskey set laying on top of it, "but there's something happening at the DIS. Some sort of... Conspiracy. Involving certain people. And I think your brother is one of them."

"Is he in trouble?" Lorenzo asked, his voice full of worry, "Tell me he's OK, Mia."

Mia looked at her friend with sympathetic eyes. "I can't tell you that. All I know is that those other names on that list were thrown around in a few conversations I overheard. Conversations I thought were completely innocent."

Lorenzo patted himself urgently before yanking out his cell phone. He tapped in a few numbers before throwing it up to his ear. Mia pulled her eyes away from him, giving him the privacy he needed for the moment.

"Fanculo," Lorenzo muttered, putting his phone down.

"Lorenzo, we'll find him, OK. But we're not going to get anywhere by sitting around swearing," Mia said, gripping him by the shoulders. She shook him slightly, trying to get his focus back.

"There's a very high chance that this may be linked to the death of my partner," Mia then added as she let go of Lorenzo and started pacing the dim room, "but we won't know for sure unless we find out exactly what it is Caterina discovered."
