Midnight By Coldplay

Dan POV

I laid in bed sleepless for hours as the night crawled by slowly. I sat up and rubbed my face before walking over to the window and looking out at the view. I thought I could hear her cries, her howls into the night. Tears slid down my cheeks, my heart ached to find her and hold her close. I stayed quiet, listening to see if Kyle and Charlotte were asleep, from the silence I assumed they were out for the night. I slipped on my jeans and wolf hoodie before silently moving out of the my room and slipping out the front door.

I walked over to Kara's bike, rolling it down the road before kick starting it, far enough so it wouldn't alert Charlotte or Kyle. I revved the engine before driving off towards the forest, hearing howls every now and then. I knew it was her, it was as if a part of me was hurting. I parked the bike by the edge of the woods and looked into the darkness. My eyes turned bright red, almost glowing, and my canine teeth became sharpened. I could see everything perfectly with my heightened vision and could hear even a birds talons on the tree bark. I blurred into the woods ending up in a tree by just jumping slightly.

"Wow..how the hell did..." I grinned and looked down towards the ground before lifting my head to the sounds of a howl. "Kara?" I jumped down from the tree I'd managed to jump into with my immense strength and agility then began running off towards the howling sounds. I came into an empty grass area, looking around for those golden eyes. The sky was lit up with lightening before a crack of thunder roared. The rain came towards me like a curtain, soaking me instantly and making my wild hair flatten before I slicked it back. "Kara?" I looked around still, trying to keep the rain out of my eyes and vision clear.

There she was, prowling right into the meadow area. Her white fur matted down by the rain and her golden eyes glowing like the shine of gold. I fell to my knees looking at her beauty even in this form. She slowly shifted in front of my eyes, her naked form appearing in front of me, on her knees. She slowly stood up, I was speechless looking at her. Way to be a typical guy Dan.

"You shouldn't be here Dan. It isn't safe." I shook my head and stroked her cheek, looking into her blue eyes. I quickly tugged off my jacket and wrapped it around her, a smile crossing her lips.

"Are you better? Can I take you home? Kara I can't sleep without you! I can't function without you. It's as if half of me just isn't working." She raised her hand to my cheek and gently ran her soft fingers over my skin.

"Not tonight my love. I'll try to see you tomorrow night. You have to go home and sleep you have a show. I'm sorry I'm missing your first show with us as a couple..." She began to frown but I shook my head and pressed a kiss to her lips, they were warm as if on fire, yet so was her hand. "Go home please...you can't watch this...not yet."

"Kara-"

"I said no Dan." She looked into my eyes and spoke calmly, I felt as if I couldn't move. "You're going to go back to our flat and sleep as if you've been needing it for days. You are going to have one of the best shows of your life and you won't worry about me." She nodded as I nodded back.

"How did you do that?" I blinked a few times, standing as she did. She handed me back my hoodie, once again revealing her naked body, I tried my best not to stare.

"I'm ancient. I can compel you because of my age." She laughed a little before kissing me. I started walking out of the woods, my mind wanting to stay but my body not allowing it.

"Kara! I love you."

"I love you too Dan Smith...see you soon." I looked back, but she was already gone from sight so I continued to walk back to the bike then head home quickly. I walked in the door, quietly like a mouse. Going to our room, I stripped then changed into dry long night pants and crawled into bed, falling asleep as if it was my purpose in life in that moment. She had control over me. Body and heart.
