Aphmau's POV
I paced back and forth across the meeting room. Shu sat on the sofa in the corner. She leaned down and tied her hair up into a ponytail. She brushed her bangs to the side and rubbed her face. My heart jumped as there was a knock on the door. Shu and I looked at each other then back at the door. I turn away from the door and bite at my nails. "Come in." Shu called out. I heard the door open and I took a deep breath. I look over my shoulder to see Ein peaking his head into the room. I turn around and hug myself. Ein fully walked in and sat at the table. Shu joined Ein at the table and I continued to pace the room. "How's it feel being back?" Shu casually asked. "It's great. I've missed you all so much." "Have you talked to Zane?" Shu asked again. Ein looked down at the tale. "Yeah. Sophie is an angel." He slightly smiled. I turned away as tears started to build up in my eyes. I heard one of them stand up but I didn't look to see who. I finally turned around and Ein wrapped me in a hug. I wrapped my arms around his torso and cried into his chest. "I'm so sorry for your lost." I hugged him tighter in response.
Ein sat back down at the table. I started biting my nails again as Shu got to the point. "Uh, so the reason we asked you here. We went back to the call in from when you got separated." Eins eyes went wide and he shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "You didn't have your backpack..." Ein looked down at his lap. "Tell us the truth Ein." I said in a soft tone. He looked up at me and bit his lip. "We won't be mad." I assured. "Okay I didn't have my bag. I only had a few supplies in my pockets. I found a lot of supplies in the building. There were backpacks full of food. I guess over time I just thought it was mine." He ran his hand through his hair. Shu furrowed her eyebrows. "I kinda went insane; staying in that building, alone, for so long." His eyes were full of distress and confusion.
Ein left, leaving Shu and I alone in the room. "He hasn't done anything." "He could." she shoots back. "We can keep a close eye on him." I suggest. "What if it's not close enough." I sigh and sit down. I rub my face tiredly. "Well, I don't know what else to do. His story does make sense. You really can't say you wouldn't go at least a little insane being alone for that long." She looked down at the table with soft eyes. "We cant just kick him out, Shu. He's done nothing wrong." "No I'm not saying we should. I'm just trying to figure out a way to prevent him from doing something bad until we can figure out if he's telling the truth." "There's nothing we really can do; other than watch him." Shu nodded her head. "You're right." she stood up and left the room.
