I turned around to see max smile half a smile and looked down, biting her lip.
I scoffed, "What?!"
"Yea um I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys." She said pointedly to me, Will, and Lucas which means she told Dustin before us, I rolled my eyes, of course she did. "Ok,Ok,Ok, let me get this straight, you had powers, just like El, which means, you came from the lab, which means everything you told is a lie?" My voice gradually got louder when I said that until I basically yelled the last part. She flinched when I yelled at her about lying "n-no, I didn't lie about anything." "Oh really, how can we even believe you right now, you came from the lab, for we know you could be working for them." She looked up at me with hard eyes, did I say too much, oh well, who the hell gives a damn. She walked towards me, Dustin protesting, until she looked back and he was still. " I am not working for the lab, I barely knew it existed until I met you guys." She yelled throwing her hands in the air. " I had no idea I could do anything until yesterday, Ok? I told you guys the day after I find,out and you still accuse me." She screamed and all the faucets turn on. She faces them and they turn off. I stare at her with wide eyes, her nose isn't bleeding. The door burst open, and Troy walks in, upon seeing max, he is shocked, and Starts laughing, "what are you nerds doing,"he screeches "raping the girl?" He laughs hysterically. We all look at him with annoyed eyes. He blocks the exit, so we can't leave, I can tell max is getting annoyed. "What? Don't have your freak of a friend to protect you anymore do you?" I push him, he stops laughing and pushes me back, I stumbled and he laughs, walking towards me, he suddenly stops and runs to the toilet, hurling, I look over and max is smiling " come on" she says and we all walk out in a daze, shocked by what just happened. We decide to just ditch, since it was Friday anyway, and we head to my house, my dads probably asleep, so sneaking around him would be easy. I hop on the couch and so does Will, Dustin and Lucas. Max sits on the one seat couch. "So." Lucas says awkwardly "so how long have you known?" I ask
"I told you since yesterday." She says
"Yeah but you must've had some feeling or something, some story."
"Well basically, I get a shot injected into me every morning, and I've never questioned it till you guys told me about the lab, and I had some flashbacks, or visions or something, I don't really know. So I replaced the medicine with water, and waited."
I stare at her " is that how you knew about my arm, or..."
"Um, I'm pretty sure I have telepathy, and telekinesis" she says
"Like how?" Lucas said, which surprised me because he and Will were just a in a state of shock. "Woah" Lucas jumped back, "that's sick!" "Wait,wait,wait." I said, "what did you do?
"This, I did this" she said, her lips hadn't moved, it was like she said it in my head, "wow"
"Yeah, I guess it is."
I checked my watch, it was almost 5 my mom would be home soon with Holly.
"Um, you guys just wanna spend the night?"
"Yeah"
"Yeah"
"Sure
"Yeah"
"Hey I'm home!" My mom said walking in and slamming the door.
"Hey mom, can my friends stay over?"
"Uh Yeah sure"
A lil time skip
We had Layed out all our sleeping bags & blankets and max was no help whatsoever she just sat on the couch, with her legs folded, and she was biting her nails.
