"Tell me what they did to you,"
says the Slain.
Odymn's face goes white.
"In detail?"
she says.
Remembers the last Gel-head
who touched her.
Slimy fingers
and dirty fingernails.
Violent exploration
of sinus cavities.
Her nose bled for days.
"No. Not what they did.
How it makes you feel,
even now."
"Gross, like I want to die,"
says Odymn.
"And if I touch you?"
says the Slain.
"I like it when you touch me."
"I haven't gone very far,"
says the Slain.
"Just shoulders and arms,
hips and waist."
"Gel-heads weren't interested
in the curvy parts.
Only the crevices,"
says Odymn.
"I am interested
in some of those crevices,"
says the Slain.
"But your memories
of the Gel-heads remain.
And I am afraid."
