Might have already talked about this.

So I was scrolling through someone's oc page, and while I was reading their descriptions, I came across a certain catagory that was on EVERY SINGLE ONE.

Mental Illness.

Mental Illness isn't who you are, it's what shapes you into the person you are, but you don't go up to people and say...

"Hi I'm Katie and I have a cold."

Like a cold isn't who you are. It changes who you are, but it isn't who you are.

Like I wouldn't go up to people and say...

"Hi I'm Katie and I have anxiety!"

Like that's weird.

Plus not everyone has mental Illness. It isn't a cool thing, it's something so many people struggle with. People commit suicide for the sole reason of not being able to handle the hardships mental illness comes with.

So next time you're making an oc and want to seem cool or edgy by giving them bipolar disorder or depression, think about how horrible it really is.

Or at least research it.
