"The harlot will live." Edward Seymour tossed a chair to the side of the room. His father, John Seymour, hushed his other son, Thomas Seymour. Jane sat in silence as she observed her family. Who were they to question the decisions of King Henry? "They're marriage was annulled, she is no longer Queen of England. His majesty told me so himself. I will be the Queen of England in less than a month." Edward wanted to smack some sense into his sister. As long as Anne Boleyn was in England she was a threat to their family. "How ignorant are you, dear sister?"

John glared at his youngest son. "Pardon?" The girl did not know any better. She was raised to obey, not to think. "The marriage was not annulled Jane, they're divorced. Meaning harlot's daughter is to remain a Princess of England. Meaning until you have a son, the Boleyns still hold all the power. If something happens to the King, Elizabeth will be crowned Queen." Jane refused to believe this nonsense. "If something happens to the King, Princess Mary will be crowned Queen of England."

Thomas and Edward shook their heads. "The French King will aid in placing the heir that will advance French needs in England. It's no secret he prefers to see Anne's child on the English throne above Princess Mary." No matter what the future held, the Seymours needed Jane to have a son quickly. "I will have a son and this will all be over."

Around the outer skirts of court the people  gossip about the departure of Quenn Anne, whom now was to be addressed as her Grace, Duchess of Pembroke. King Henry set a payment towards Anne that would make her one of the richest women in England. As the mother of his only living heir she held the highest ranking for an English woman, second to only to the next Queen of England and any Princess of England. Henry wanted to ensure she was well off without a husband. Along with her Residences in Pembroke, Henry granted her Carew and Cilgarrean Castle. He increased her household, along with their daughter's. Anne and Elizabeth would want for nothing.

Later that evening, Princess Elizabeth was brought to her mother outside of Windsor Palace. Four royal carriages, along with three troops of English soldiers prepared to depart to Pembroke Castle. Little Lizzie was unsure about what was happening. All she knew was that Lady Kat said her mother was no longer Queen, but that she was still a Princess. She also said Elizabeth would live with her mama from now on. So the entire time the Duchess of Pembroke was saldy leaving, Princess Elizabeth was happily joining her.

King Henry watched from a window in the highest part of the palace as his former wife's household gathered into their carriages. Anne glanced up at him once, before getting into her carriage with Lady Kat and Princess Elizabeth following her lead. Henry wore a stotic face the entire time. He loved Anne and Elizabeth, but he loved his country more. The crowd that began to gather outside the palace gates called out to their departing Queen. The emotions in the crowd were mixed. Some shouted praise, others profanities and the rest remianed neutral.

Anne Boleyn, Duchess of Pembroke, spent the next week settling her daughter into their new home. Across England, King Henry presented Jane Seymour as his future wife and England's next Queen. And so it begins....
