Anne's P.O.V
Henry and Jane sat on their thrones in somber. News of Prince Edward's health reached the court a week ago, and ever since Henry and his Privy Council were thinking of to perpare for the death of Prince Edward. I made a suggestion that currently on the fence with Henry. "You might allow Jane to concieve and then perform the C-section." He believes that I am trying to kill his beloved Queen. "Are you so cold you'd have me risk the life of my innocent Jane?" I resist the urge to roll my eyes. One moment Jane is his beloved, the next he wishes to be with me. Now I sit at my table observing his behaves towards Jane. "He isn't even tentative in making her happy in these sad times." My sister laughs at my my mental notes. "Why do you not just apologize and make up with him, Anne. I am sure he misses your company." I turn to her with playful scowl. "Has he told you that himself?" She denies it. "Then I will remain in away from him." She rubs my back. "You might take this as a sign to place your bets, Anne."

I turn my body to her, encouraging her to explain what she meant. "Queen Jane can no longer provide a son for Henry. He does not want her to concieve again for fear of her death. Sooner or later the Privy Council will reach the conclusion that it will be his Majesty's best interest to divorce Jane and remarry." I deny her insinuation, but she nods. "If it does come to him remarrying, she might consider yourself his next option. He will see the death of Prince Edward as a sign that God does not approve of his union to Jane, and he'll happily accept you as his wife again." She smiles noticing that I somehwhat like her prediction. "Even if I were to marry Henry again. What will change? Once he has me again, who is to say he'll keep me. It's been less than three years since our divorce, and he somehow needs another wife so soon."

She rubs my back. "Think about it, okay?" I simple agree to think of the notion, then turn my attention back to Henry and Jane.

Henry's P.O.V
I notice Anne watching me intensely. She appears in such a deep thought she does not even realize she's been caught. I turn my focus to Jane, my innocent Jane. She's done everything I asked of her almost two years ago, yet she is being punished. I am use to my child dying off young, but Jane is not prepared for Edward's possible death. He'd caught a fever only three days ago, and we'd yet to hear the news of his recovery. I have a funeral planned, shall the news of his death arises. I have the mourning period set and a manor in the country revonated for Jane's usage if she needs to mourn away from the eyes of the court. "Your Majesty might think about what you wish to do in order to sire another son." Duke of Norfolk advised yesterday in council. Remembering our discussion made my eyes land upon Anne once more. "I'd take a new wife." I responded to my lords that afternoon. "Or a old one" I added to their surprise. They all knew who I had in mind at this point. In fact, Norfolk presented me with a marriage contract ready to be signed if the day does arise when I marry Anne once more.

In our current position, Anne and I are fighting. But as usual, we aren't actually upset with each other. I know her suggestion was not said out of spite, but in that moment I had not cared. I only cared that Jane was hurting and I could not help. However, with my clear mind, I now know what is going to take place shall my son die. I'll give Jane a month to mourn, divorce her and send her to France for a fresh start. A change of scenery will do her well if Edward dies. Maybe she find a nice French noblemen and remarry. All I know is at this point there's no saving little Edward, and I have an entire Kingdom to look after. I'll mourn when I'm dead.

Anne's P.O.V
Sometime after dawn the next morning a messenger came with word from Ludlow that Prince Edward took his last breath during the night. The entire court went on clueless, until Queen Jane ran out of the Queen's apartments in tears, during morning meals. I watched on in horror as the fragile Queen cried out for her dead son. Henry and her ladies came out and attempted to console her. None were able to communicate with her, as she felt they did not understand her pain. She on floor demanding to taken to Wales with her son. I feel a hand on my shoulder and find Lady Cowell gesturing for me in aid in retrieving the Queen. "You are the only one here who can understand her pain. You will not listen to anyone else, your grace." I see my sister, Mary, agreeing with Lady Cowell out of the corner of my eye. Tossing my napkin aside, pushing my chiar out, I walk over to the heartbreaking scene.
Henry tells the Queen's ladies to stand back as I kneel down near Jane, who shots daggers at me. "You must be enjoying this?" I shake my head. "I would never wish this upon another women. Not after losing two of my children, myself. You cannot help Edward now, he's gone, but you goto him and say your farewells. First, you must compose yourself, then Henry will allow you to travel to Wales." She denies my statement. "He wants to keep me here." I hush her. "He will allow you to go to your son and say your goodbyes." Henry agrees.
