"Why should we keep her here? Those ponies have been nothing but cruel to us!". I overheard. Sombra replied, "We need her because she understands what it's like to be a monster!". I was shocked. A monster...? Me? No, it can't be. As they continued, I heard Chrysalis say, "Sombra, we're going to be parents soon! She could potentially hurt our foals!". FOALS?! "Chrys, I know she won't! She's changed... just like us. I mean, at least we're trying to...". Sombra replied. Chrysalis sighed, "Fine. I shall, give you the benefit of a doubt.". They shared a kiss, then Chrysalis was coming out of the room. I ran off, hoping she didn't notice me.
Author's POV
Chrysalis sighed softly as she went to the nursery for their future foals. She felt her slightly growing belly. She smiled, then she sat in a chair near the crib. A few hours later, Sombra managed to get out of bed and began to search for Chrysalis. Once he found her, he smiled warmly. She was sleeping in her chair near the crib, snorting every now and then. He kissed her cheek, then picked her up with his magic and carried her to the bedroom. She barely opened her eyes when Sombra laid her down. He caressed her cheek as she got comfortable. As he wrapped his hoof around her belly, she smiled in her sleep.
