After the feast Theo, Blaise and Pansy waved goodbye to their friends before heading off to the Slytherin dormitories.
"Ready to see what Dumbledore wants?" Draco asked leading Hermione through the crowds of people to the staff table.
"Do we have a choice? No. So let's go," Hermione stated.
The two got to the table and found Dumbledore waiting for them by a door to the left. The went over and the old man led them in, locking and silencing it behind him.
"I assume you heard the sorting hats vague warning?" Dumbledore asked sitting in a black leather armchair.
"We did," Draco grumbled sitting on the leather couch with Hermione.
Dumbledore sighed, "It seems to have listened to mine and Ms. Zabini's conversation last year. It was the hat that informed me what 'the trick of blood' was. It means Hermione always that her blood was muggle when really it was one of the purest you could get."
"Alright," Hermione said, "What do you think about what then hat said? Uh sir?"
"I'm not sure. I believe it was meant to tell us that there is good for the world."
Hermione slowly nodded, catching the bored gleam in Draco's eyes.
"Now off to bed, classes start in two days and I assume you want to learn where your dormitory is."
"Right," Hermione said standing up.
Draco cleared is throat loudly before saying, "Scars? Spell?"
"Oh right! Professor Dumbledore, Lea Zabini did a spell on Draco to help with a uh, condition I have that he can help with and was hoping you could regonize that spell if we needed it." Hermione asked.
"Of course, Mr. Malfoy, your arm please."
Draco extended his left arm and Dumbledore took it. He used his wand and muttered a few spells before letting go of Draco's arm.
"Ms. Zabini, this spell is only to be used for the Carving Curse. Would you care to elaborate?" Dumbledore asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Not particularly," Hermione said slowly.
"Very well," Dumbledore said, "The spell is 'exvertis fortanga' "
"Thank you sir, come on Draco," Hermione said grabbing Draco's hand and pulling him off the couch and out the door.
"Hey! Slow down! Bloody woman," could be heard from Draco as he was dragged out the door.
"Can they really do this?" A voice asked.
"Yes, Minerva, I'm certain they can," Dumbledore answered the witch.
Minerva McGonagall sighed from the dark corner she was residing in before stepping out, "You're always certain and everything normally works out. But, Albus, don't you think you should at least tell them that Hermione has to fall in love with Draco himself for the curse to break."
"He knows this. It would be to much of a burden for Hermione though. She's just starting to feel comfortable in his presence. Its best she gets that safe feeling before anyone tells her that the world is depending on her falling love with her childhood bully whilst finding an object that could be hidden anywhere and anytime." Dumbledore said, "Lemon drop?"
McGoanagall rolled her eyes as Dumbledore offered her a yellow muggle candy, "No." She said sharply, "This really isn't the time. We have no idea when Hogwarts will be taken over and are trusting these kids to complete such a hard task in such a short amount of time."
