"One," Hermione said letting go of the time turner and smiling at her friends. They were all gone with a faint 'POP'.Hermione and Draco felt themselves be pulled around and twisted. They held on to each other, or rather Hermione held Draco and he let her.
When the two stopped spinning, they arrived in the middle of an odd town. The houses looked old, and there weren't many people out.
"Come on!" Hermione said grabbing Draco and pulling him behind a house.
"What? Ow!" Draco exclaimed.
"Shut up or we'll gain attention. Ugh, what do people wear here?" Hermione muttered to herself as she took the bag from Draco and searched through it.
"Who are you?" A woman called.
Draco and Hermione whipped around to see a woman standing there. She held up a stick at them from her side hoping they wouldn't notice.
"Rebecca Greengrass," Hermione breathed.
"That's me. Who are you?" Rebecca demanded.
"My name's John West and this is my wife, Sarah West," Draco quickly lied, "We have something important to discuss with you. Somewhere private."
Rebecca eyed them wearily and Hermione quickly flicked her wand out to the side so Rebecca could see it before shoving it back into her pocket. Rebecca's eyes widened slightly but she nodded.
"Of course. My house is this way, if you would follow," Rebecca said turning.
Hermione and Draco looked at each other before following. While Rebecca walked on, Hermione slapped Draco's arm.
"Wife? And Sarah? Really?" She asked him in a whisper.
"What would you prefer? Can't be siblings you're the opposite of me. Your small and have brown hair. And Sarah is a popular name for this time period," Draco said.
"Fine," Hermione huffed.
They soon arrived at a large white house. Rebecca led them inside and too the sitting room where her child Mart was.
"You are witch and wizard," she said.
"We are," Hermione said as Rebecca motioned for them to sit.
"Why are you dressed so odd?" Rebecca questioned.
"Um.." Hermione said looking at Draco for help.
"We're testing out a new style," Draco quickly lied.
"I see," Rebecca said, "Are you hiding from the town as well?"
"Not exactly," Hermione said.
"Mm. Lucky you are. The town is onto me. My husband is there now trying to clear my name. If they can't me and my child will be killed," Rebecca said.
Hermione and Draco exchanged quick glances with each other.
"I-Im very sorry about that," Hermione said.
"You're not from around here. You are British," Rebecca said, "We do not welcome the British here."
"Y-You don't?" Hermione asked.
"No. But you seem fine so far. I have no reason to harm you," Rebecca said, "My husband should be home soon."
"What time is it exactly?" Hermione asked.
"Nearly supper," Rebecca smiled.
"Okay, thank you," Draco said sending Hermione a look.
"Do you speak other languages, Rebecca?" Draco suddenly asked.
