In the three years filled with quiet words of affection, soft kisses and quiet giggles shared between two lovers who held onto one another like it was their last moment together, in those years of falling asleep wrapped in his partners strong arms the memory of that cold Novemeber day that started everything stayed as clear in his mind as it had been hours after it happened. How his stunning blue eyes looked so deeply into his own hazel, the fear of what his answer would be that mixed with the anticipation for good news blinding him as he fought for words, eventually settling on throwing his arms around his wide neck and pushing their lips together for the first time as they fell back into the Maine snow.

The day he and his amazing boyfriend Tyler began dating all those years ago brought so much joy into his life, the large teddy bear who just loved to pull the younger man up into his arms and carry him everywhere, loving how easily he could lift him and how Ethan just seemed to melt into his arms as he kissed his cheeks. But it also brought him the most pain he had ever experienced.

While the raven haired elder smiled and congratulated them in the presence of his childhood friend, as soon as the Euraisian was alone with the young male it took a dangerous, destructive and abusive turn that would continue for the next three years.

It hurt everytime Tyler would leave for work and Mark would come over to keep him company, the fear the man had imposed on him causing him to push his boyfriend away. But after weeks of horribly uncomofortable mornings he made a horrifying discovery that would turn his entire world upside down and reveal everything he had been trying so despratly to hide.
