"Shane, we got our schedules, Come on, we gotta see what classes we got together!" Colin cheered, running in and jumping on my bed, two envelopes waving proudly from his fingertips. Classes start next week, meaning we get our schedules. I signed up for classes before I even made it to campus, so now it's time to see if I got them all... I'm more than nervous to see how this college thing works.

"Here," Colin said, offering me my envelope. I tear it open with haste, unlike Colin, and slip out the thin sheet of paper inside.

That is it, that is literally my schedule. I couldn't be happier, Maybe this would be easier than I thought. "We seriously have all the same classes, give or take a few, just switched around. How bunk, now we won't see each other during the day.." Colin noted after examining both our schedules until they were etched into the back of his brain.

Colin got off of my bed, laying his schedule on his nightstand. "Remember when we went shopping yesterday?" He questioned and I nodded. I did remember..But, I mean, how could I forget? We got totally lost, asked random people random things, and bought a lot (probably too much) of Chef-Boyardee Ravioli. "Okay, good. Okay, remember the guy we asked about my accent? The one who told us they don't hear many?" I nodded again, trying not to burst out in laughter. Colin and I together was a disaster waiting to happen...Oh, I loved having a roommate that had everything in common with me. I guess you could say we were already best friends.

"I'm looking back on that moment...and the dude had a box of condoms in his hand. In fact, we were in the condom aisle." That's when I cracked. I was laughing, way too hard. And I don't even understand why it was all that funny, either, because a) We realized the stuff about the condoms yesterday, leaving the store, and b) We laughed about it way too much yesterday. I don't know why Colin recalled that moment from yesterday when yes, I do remember it, I guess he was trying to be cute, but I promise we aren't drunk. I've never had alcohol in my life.

"Okay...In honor of classes starting on Monday," (today was Friday.) I started, making my proposition. "We should go for frozen yogurt." There was a frozen yogurt place right outside campus and both Colin and I wanted to check it out yesterday but didn't.

"Let's go!" He cheered, his accent killing me, as I stood and we made our way to the door.

"Stop!" Colin whined as I chucked another spoonful of yogurt at him, it landing in his hair this time. "Why should I?" I questioned, licking my spoon clean. "Because," he grumbled, pouting, launching a gummy bear at me. He missed by a long-shot and it ended up hitting the floor. I chuckled at his pained expression. "I've been betrayed in the worst way.." he said, tone mock dramatic, as he clutched his shirt over his heart.

"Loser." I muttered, jabbing my spoon at him. "Sh," he said, spinning his spoon around in his yogurt. "Hey, Shane, what's your favorite show?" Colin asked suddenly. I shrugged, thinking. I hadn't had time for watching TV lately but if I had to choose, it'd be Big Brother, Doctor Who, or Supernatural. When I told Colin that, he gasped. "Holy shit, I love Doctor Who and Supernatural! We were meant for each other!" He said, before ducking his head as heat colored his cheeks. I couldn't stop myself from thinking how adorable his blush is....

/Joey's blush is cute, too!/ My subconscious reminded me and I sighed. You're not supposed to develop a crush on your taken roommate when you have somebody! Wait...do I have a crush on Colin?

I couldn't..I shouldn't...I wouldn't allow myself to! I'd just have to...have to...Think of Joey! The way his eyes light up when I tell him I love him, the color that accents his cheeks when I tease him, the way his selflessness overpowers his own needs. I love Joey...it's only ever going to be Joey. And I'm only thinking I have a crush on Colin because this is the first time I've been without Joey in a while. This isn't what a crush feels like, I just like Colin like a best friend. And that is that.

Super short, I know. But its only because I'm rushing to finish it to write the next chapter.

What do you think of Shane assuming he has a crush on Colin? (';
