A Tale of Meteorological Disappointment
The skies held such promise, on that first day,
Heavy, threatening, yet soft, clouds of grey.
The warnings were clear, of what was to come,
Spring? Alas no, this party would involve no sun.You did not disappoint the masses, giving all that was warned.
Encasing entire counties, with your silent white blanket, fully adorned.
Only you were remiss with your gift, omitting one who has been true,
Left only to spectate at the beauty, the magical wonder of you.Generations will remember, all that you were and all that you gave.
You will be spoken of often, revered and honoured amongst the brave.
The Great Snowstorm of 2018, the proverbial "Beast from the East",
When communities all pulled together and were reminded that,Mother Nature is Queen.
