You liked him because now you could finally go around telling people that you've found a guy, because the coolest thing then was to find someone.

But you didn't like him because of his cards, his flowers, his poems, his sweatshirts that you still have stashed in your cupboard (underneath the one denim skirt that you broke hearts in).

You liked him because you felt validated.

So you were nice.

You threw smiles at his way, looked at him longer that you should've, you wrote in his notebook in your messy handwriting.

Because it electrified you.

Knowing the effect you had on him.

But now you've changed.

Now, you only love things you can destroy. You romanticize everything under the sun and turn boys into poetry.
