There he was, Alec.

The boy I loved the most.
The one my heart beats for.

I've loved him for so long, but I never had the courage to tell him.

Im afraid. I don't want our friendship to be ruined because of my love. I dont want to be rejected.

Until today.

But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt, suddenly goes away somehow

He got rejected by someone he loved. I felt bad. I encouraged him to confess to his crush. But it didn't work out.

This event caused me to think. I thought of everything we did together while hanging out.

I've always been with him.
I've always comforted him in the toughest times.

He always did the same.

Yes. Today is the day I tell him.

One step closer

I walk up to him and place my hand on his shoulder.

"Im sorry.." I said softly, as if I spoke too loud he would break. He turned to me and replied, "It isn't your fault.".

I took him into my arms and rubbed his back in an attempt to comfort him. In return, he hugged back.

"I loved someone else more anyways." he whispered.

"Who is it?" I asked as I released him from the hug.

Silence followed. I slightly panicked. Did I do something wrong?!

He looked at me and smiled.

"You."

I have died everyday, waiting for you
